Hi all, I’m looking at doing a transfer of equity and I thought I’d reach out to those here to see if anyone has any recommendations on who to use?

I'll do it, I just need you full name, date of birth, bank account number, sort code, mothers maiden name and the name of your first pet.

I was recommended Bendell & Co on here previously. Nothing to compare to but seemed alright when I used them and plan to again this house move. Based in Hinckley.

Don't use Edward, Hands & Lewis. I mistakenly used these for my transfer of equity and they really took the piss.

Using JS Law at the minute for my house purchase and I can't fault them.

We used JS law for our house move, I wasn’t impressed to be honest.

The move nearly fell through due to them pissing off the buyer, I had to take up direct communications with him to sort their mess out.

BHW solicitors were great for us, based at grove park. Not the cheapest but apparently you really do get what you pay for when it comes to solicitors.

I had a couple of great ones, but they both disappeared. I asked an estate agent friend of mine who the best one was they had dealings with, that is how I came to the conclusion of my current one.

But ask about price too. 50% difference I was originally quoted versus who I used to use.

Just make sure you get one with a direct line, or certainly not one of these big chains as communication is key
