Worked under Rudkin when he was Academy director.

He was an Academy Coach from 2005 to 2007 - under (then) Academy Manager, Jon Rudkin.  He did that while completing a Sports Science degree at Loughborough (and his initial UEFA Coaching badges). I speculated that those links might have helped 'oil the wheels' of the Rodgers deal.

I just found out that Worthington is Rodger's Cousin.  You're right MC, Worthington's City connections might have helped.

Been with Brendan since Swansea. I believe as an analyst or scout of upcoming games whatever that's called. Assistant manager with Celtic. Has all his badges including Pro.

Think this is just  what we need ,new ideas and approach ,and the fact he's  bringing 2 coaches with him can only be for the good.
