MPH Posted 4 April 2019 Posted 4 April 2019 Very Sad indeed for all those who who were innocently enjoying a game of football and feel 'punished' by the game being abandoned. However i do think more is needed to combat the cancer of Racism in football. It may be a bumpy road for a few months abandoning games because of racism, and it will upset a lot of people but maybe it will encourage people to report those showing racist behavior. They are trying to make it socially unacceptable to show such behavior. I applaud the decision.
Raj Posted 6 April 2019 Posted 6 April 2019 To think this happened on our doorstep and the action has now stopped a young black lad ever wanting to play football again is atrocious. The person(s) involved should be ashamed and named.

Raj Posted 14 April 2019 Posted 14 April 2019 "YOU LOT" I don't want to even guess what the bloke saying that was implying. Put it this way,if someone said " you lot" to most non white people they wouldn't ever say it again.

Given my experience in local football, the term ‘you lot’ could quite easily be implied to the club (dependent on past history) as opposed to race.

Its possible although im skeptical given todays climate of racial abuse. Have to give the guy the benefit of doubt for now until facts are proven. Speaks to a larger issue with football, abuse in any form racial or not. All forms of abuse need to be stamped out its no good for anyone. I know some will say calm down lets not go overboard here but it always starts with nonchalant 'banter' then goes from there.

Linford missed a penalty, then something was said. Linford has then lost his head and went in two footed and got sent off. After getting changed he’s gone and got his mates and confronted the alleged abuser, which was when the trouble all started.

Didn’t he say in one of the interviews that there were chants calling him a black b***ard as he was getting ready to take the penalty?
Dr The Singh Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 The truth needs to be in the public. What's the latest on this?
