The popularity of these kits depends on a number of factors, ranging from the team in question to the style, brand and colours of the shirt. Leicester City's number is made by Adidas this season, their second edition after last year's smart strip was also manufactured by the German company. City's popularity has rocketed following their 2015-16 Premier League title success - and it will be a relief for the Blue Army to see them sit 14th in the kit table ahead of East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest and Derby County. Now, LoveTheSales has revealed a definitive ranking for which teams have had the most popular kits this season based on search, with a table for all 92 Football League clubs. Overall, the most popular shirt is Liverpool’s home kit for the 2019/20 campaign, which is a throwback to the jersey for the 1982/83 campaign, and demand has almost doubled since last season’s Champions League success. Arsenal, with a new maker in Adidas, have also seen their shirt sales boom and boast the second most popular kit overall, as well as the most popular away kit. The top five selling kits are completed by Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, while Huddersfield Town have the most popular shirt in the Championship after the PR stunt from PaddyPower revealed there would be no sponsor displayed on the kit this season. In League One, Sunderland’s home shirt is the most popular and League Two sees Football League new-boys Salford City claim the title, with search for the jersey increasing by 262% compared to last year.
