Just finished Astro Bot, absolutely loved it, definitely a 9.5/10!

 

The only complaint I can possibly have that for me means it isn't a 10/10 is that it isn't longer!

 

Took me around 15 hours to complete the main game

 

I think it will take an hour or so to sweep up the remaining trophies for the platinum

 

Must play for anyone who has a PS5

I think £55 for 15 hours (16 or so for the platinum) is pretty reasonable these days (especially when you can pay £70 games that only last 10 hours)

How would you class £45 for FF7 Rebirth which will take 200 to platinum?  lol

Trust me trying to platinum rebirth you def won't be thinking it's a bargain, more a blight on your existence!

When I finished the story and all side missions I had about 80% of the trophies so thought about trying for the platinum, until I saw some of the requirements e.g. beating Sephiroth on the boxing game. I had enough of a nightmare with the Shinra Middle Manager thank you very much. lol

I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to trophy hunting and it's usually only the presence of online trophies that stops me getting the platinum but ff7 rebirth is just far to difficult and I've resigned myself to ending 3 trophies short. I've only beat first couple of hard combat challenges and cant beat the final few bosses In story mode on hard mode. Not that it would matter anyway cos I can't beat the b#stard gym mini game!!!

That Sephiroth boxing match convinced me to not even bother trying to platinum the game. I started playing hard mode and struggled to beat the first boss lol. Then when i checked the trophy list and thought nah f*** that lol

Do the PS5 controllers ever go on offer anywhere? Mine has the worst drift now and it's making some games unplayable but I am loathe to spend £60 on 1 unless I absolutely have to

Hello friends. After many years away from gaming I have just bought a PS5, previously been an Xbox owner but want to play some of the exclusives like Last of Us etc that I've never had a go on.

 

What's the best subscription service for me?  The nearest equivalent to the Xbox version with lots of free games?  I am right in thinking I need the middling subscription?

Now is the time to invest in Powerwash Simulator lol

 

That title essentially cost me £55 on PS Extra.

 

Check out Shopto and they do Klarna to lighten the blow.

I think it is currently £90 although you can get the gift card from Shopto for a reduced price so essentially it shouldn't cost more than £80 for the year.  They are doing the £100 gift card for £85 right now for example.

Thanks, I have never even heard of shopto lol so some good advice! I'll check it out.

This is going to be cheap once Ghost of Yotei is released.  I'll wait.  Total disaster for Ubisoft.  Couldn't be timed much worse.

I'm just baffled with Ubisoft.  They keep trying to release "AAA" games every six months and are then shocked that they're all absolute garbage when they're out.  I've not enjoyed an AC game since Odyssey and Outlaws, Watch Dogs and Skull and Bones (AAAA game lol....) were absolutely terrible.  I guess the Ubisoft+ prices mean they need to release stuff with this frequency.  It killed EA and Ubisoft are right behind them.

 

Ubisoft had this open world USP that companies have now replicated and improved.  Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon are basically the typical Ubisoft formula type game, but are actually really good, unlike actual Ubisoft games who invented the formula.

 

They need to just slow down and release better stuff less often as people are turning away from the formula.  Watch Dogs, AC,  and Far Cry are the same bloody game nowadays.  With the exception of Trackmania, which you can't f**k up, they've not done anything of note for a long long time now.

I loved the Odyssey and Valhalla maps and storylines, nothing since. 
 

The Odyssey map was beautiful and then Valhalla I think I loved because it was the English countryside, but I agree they were pretty much the same game with a different mask on.
