Ric Flair Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 I think tomorrow's match will be another battle and to be honest we seem to get better results when there's an emphasis on battling it out such as Watford, Coventry and Cardiff. Plymouth look to have tightened up big time under Pulis and if they are anything like Stoke were last season then we'll need to positive infront of goal to get a goal. Our best chance of winning the game is through Smith and we must feed the ball through him as much as possible, we did this in the closing stages on saturday but for the first 10-15 mins when he came on the other players didn't give him the ball. Douglas Maybury Gerrbrand McCarthy Nissa Sylla Tiatto Williams Smudger Hume de Vries - Due another brace Subs: Kisnorbo, Elvis, Dublin, Henderson, Stearman
BenFilbert Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 We're going to win! Douglas - Done nothing wrong. Maybury - Needs to stay in the team. Gerrbrand - Very good so far. McCarthy - Very good in recent games. Johansson - Done nothing wrong. Sylla - Can win games for us. Kisnorbo - I think he's good. Williams - Played quite good against Cardiff. Smith - Ryan Smith! Hume - He'll score! Although i keep saying that. de Vries - 8 goals!
Babylon Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Same except I think Kisnorbo will be in for Tiatto. or Levein will go for a 4-3-3 again.

Plymouth would probably laugh actually. We won't score with that team! Maybury in midfield! Drop Gerrbrand! If we do drop Gerrbrand, it should be for Dion! Tiatto in the team! I want to finish with 11 players not 10!

I want to finish with 11 players not 10! yeah i was torn between tiatto and kiso, either would do, but i said tiatto because he could fill in for sheehan better when sheehan supports the attack, because i`d use the full backs as wing backs with maybury to fill in for stearman. Good legs can carry you through a game, and i believe theres young enough legs to do so. I imagine sylla and smith conforming to attacking midfielders/strikers, because of stearman and sheehan supporting them. Between the four main attacking players, there is mass skill, loads of trickery and pace, enough to get you off that cold plymouth seat But have fun with 3 CB`s, one striker plus de lump. Its a long way home.

The defence is fine, I agree that the attack needs looking at but as de Vries is on a roll where he has one good game and then one shocking game, he should be set up nicely for a goal or two tomorrow night.
Benji Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 why would u drop gerrbrand after two clean sheets against cardiff who have jerome and lee and preston who have nugent if you want change, then its attacking that we're not being brilliant at
Louise Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 is mdv banned tomorrow or saturday MdV is banned for Saturday, Joey is banned for tomorrow.
Libertine Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Team that I think it'll be: Douglas Maybury Gerrbrand McCarthy Nisse Sylla Williams Kisnorbo Smith Elvis De Vries
Benji Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Douglas nissa gerrbrand mccarthy maybury smith williams tiatto sylla hume de vries (unless he is not fit then dublin) subs: henderson hammond kisnorbo dublin hamill
Jimmy Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 MdV is banned for Saturday, Joey is banned for tomorrow. thanks in that case Douglas Maybury Gerrbrand McCarthy Sheehan Kisnorbo Hughes Smith Hume Hammond MdV subs Henderson, Nils, Tiatto, Dublin, Hammil
Gené and Tonic Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 -------------------Douglas------------------------ Stearman---McCarthy-Gerrbrand---Sheehan Hammond---Williams--Kisnorbo----Hammil -----------------Hume--Smith--------------- Subs: Henderson, De Vries, Sylla, Johansson, Maybury Now that should strike fear into the Plymouth side! Not sure whether Hughes is fit so he's not included.
Head Honcho Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 -------------------Douglas------------------------ Maybury---McCarthy-Gerrbrand---Nisse Sylla-----------Williams--------Hamill ---------------------Hume------------------- ---------------De Vries--Dublin--------------- Subs: Henderson,Tiatto,Kisnorbo,Stearman,Smith Not too attacking is it
Head Honcho Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 -------------------Douglas------------------------ Stearman---McCarthy-Gerrbrand---Sheehan Hammond---Williams--Kisnorbo----Hammil ---------------De Vries--Smith--------------- Subs: Henderson, Tiatto, Sylla, Johansson, Maybury Now that should strike fear into the Plymouth side! Not sure whether Hughes is fit so he's not included. So why would you leave Hume out of the Squad
lush Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Now that should strike fear into the Plymouth side! Not sure whether Hughes is fit so he's not included. Well without our best striker, i`d expect plymouth to feel ok with it. How about swapping smith and hammond over?
Gené and Tonic Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Ooop, forgot Hume Edited @Lush I feel Hammond would be much bettter suited on the right wing with his pace, plus he can't seem to score when he's up-front. The suggestion of Smith being played up-front is an interesting one, and i would like to see it tried out.
BenFilbert Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Well without our best striker, i`d expect plymouth to feel ok with it. How about swapping smith and hammond over? He did put in our best striker.
BenFilbert Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 ..And then took him out. Again, we won't score like that!
Mark Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Douglas Maybury Gerrbrand McCarthy Sheehan Sylla Tiatto Williams Smith Hume Dublin Subs: Henderson, Kisnorbo, Stearman, De Vries, Hammond Only reason i'd drop Johansson is because he is clearly not a left back, and the center pairing of McCarthy and Gerrbrand looked good. Also it must have took him at least 15 minutes to realise Smith was playing on Saturday and completed a pass to him, attack wise, not good enough. Defensively sound, so he will play
Gené and Tonic Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 De Vries has proved he can play well when coming off the bench, as he did at Watford. I had to take him out of the side to accomodate Hume
tracian Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Douglas Sheehan Sheehan Sheehan Sheehan Sheehan Sheehan Sheehan Goal Smith Sheehan Sheehan Subs 5 of Sheehans friends/family the future of lcfc
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Did anyone see Plymouth on Sunday? there were absloutley Diabolical, and they were playing Millwall at home. Got to be 3 points doesnt matter what team will play! haha!
