Lesbians though, they're ruining everything.

The tabloids and gossip mags. They spend enough time harassing people in the public eye anyway that whomever were to come out would probably be accepted by most of the fans* and players, but would probably have their entire private lives become salacious click bait with sensationalised language akin to what black players currently get vs white players. *Sadly there'd probably still be pockets of abuse from the stands like there has been with racists abusing players. The authorities still need to step up and deliver proper punishments.
