Well 'personal' to an extent. Most of it is lifted from 'Nuno's dream'. He warranted something more.

Wasn’t there a club before Wolves singing it?  Didn’t Bournemouth sing it before about Eddie?

I don’t mind us singing it, especially when loud - when we do it seems to come through very clear on tv.

You may well be correct...it did have one bespoke alteration - the ridiculous and puzzling 'whoa whoa' at the end, which now other fanbases are mindlessly aping.

1927/28 3rd

1928/29 2nd

1962/63 4th

2015/16 1st

2019/20 *3rd/4th/5th tbc

Would equal 1962/63 which was another great era.

Brendon is obviously one of those football started in 1992 people.

Feel free to come up with something better

Not trying to be a boblet, but even if he did, hows it going to catch on? who would be there to sing it with him?

I was reflecting last night and, although it will feel like a bit of a disappointment if we don’t finish top 4, I’m 31 and this will be just the 4th time in my lifetime that Leicester City have played in Europe. And that’s also the bulk of our appearances at such a level.

It’s a good achievement and Europa League should still feel like a significant event but I’m also well aware of a mentality across our fan base that is somewhat of a lead weight.

Some are still more or less just ecstatic that we remain in the premier league. We’ve seen that in the discussions about the sacking of Ranieri and Puel and now whether or not we should be content with 5th.

But those are the mindsets that hold us back and stop us pushing for real progression so that we expect to be at this level of football. If you’re not going forwards, you’re going backwards in football. I don’t know how much influence he truly has over them but the nice thing about Top’s programme notes yesterday were that he more or less said the expectations have to change with the realisation of what is possible.

It’ll be great to see Leicester City back in Europe, even if it’s ‘just’ Europa League. But let’s get onboard with that expectation that it could - and in this season’s case probably should - be more.

That comment wasn't intended to be in a knobhead manner at all. Good point though.

I think anyone who dare to criticize us if we finish 5th should be forced to watch every game from the David Pleat years..

He said we would be in the top 5 within 5 years and here we are plus still have to pinch myself a prem league title who the **** would have thought that when they took over.

Incredible achievement

I'm not criticising the fact that we could end up 5th but would be somewhat disappointed given the fact that we've spent much of the season in the top 3. Standards are set and expectations become reality and when you have a dip it can be hard to take.

After we secured Top 5 yesterday, I think it’s fitting to remember this quote from Khun Vichai:

“I am asking for three years, and we'll be there.

We won't take the huge leap to challenge the league's top five clubs immediately.

Do we have a chance to beat them? Yes, we have, but I think we need to establish our foothold in the league first and then we think about our next step.”

We forget (well, I do) sometimes that the Thai ownership has transformed this club. Today we sit 5th in the best league in the world and it’s the second time we have broken the stranglehold of the “bigger” clubs. Keep building, god knows where it will take us next.

Vichai truly had a dream....

We sit 4th buddy, and I am determined to enjoy every second... lol
