Did Brendan say how much longer Praet and Maddison will be out? After today, desperate for at least one of them to be back for the next match!

I imagine they will be back after the two-week international break.
Praet was called up post-injury by Belgium, but I am hoping that he’ll drop out.

Amartey not named in EL squad. Bit of a surprise as I thought that he would have been named rather than Wilf who we know will be out for the majority of the group stages. Is this a sign that his injury picked up against WHU is another bad one? hope not for his sake, feel really sorry for him if so that's a rotten run of luck after his horrendous ankle break (also against WHU) particularly as he was looking decent again.

Wouldn't it be nice if we got some regular injury news from the club. There is more information coming out of North Korea than Belvoir Drive.

The fans are treated pretty shabbily as regards up to date news

The club have got no obligation to tell us anything about injuries.

But if you insist, there are four injured first teamers at present - Ricardo (knee), Ndidi (groin), Maddison (calf) and Amartey (hamstring). All of those are well documented from Rodgers at press conferences before and after recent games.

Ricardo is looking at late October, he's back on the grass. Ndidi had an operation but they are hoping he can train in 4-5 weeks with a view to a slow return before Christmas. Maddison felt his calf and failed a late fitness test on Saturday. Amartey did his hamstring on Sunday and will have a scan.

It's an international break, we don't get anything from the club until Rodgers' conference on the Friday before the game. It's been like this for ages, it's nothing new.

Rodgers will only tell us things if someone asks him the relevant question.

Back in the 70's we got fresh news every day as the press were allowed to talk to the manager & players on a regular basis. I suppose this lack of information is a slgn of today's times, players cocooned in their gated mansions & top of the range cars & having no familiarity with us. In those days it was even possible to go & watch training.

This week we have had the annoucement of the 24 man squad with a couple of interesting decisions with Amartey & Gray being ommitted. It would have been nice to have heard the reasoning behind this. To me this is just another example of how little the fans are valued by clubs nowadays

Well you're lucky that every time he does a press conference the journalists agree to always ask him about injuries. Every manager gets asked for an injury update, and they always provide them. They're under no obligation to do that.

The reason the press don't talk regularly to the manager is because they are all leeches. Look at that t**t Stringer, the players still won't talk to him even now many of the old guard including Nugent have gone.

You will hear the reasoning for the Gray/Amartey decision in his next press conference. What would be the point in talking to the press during an international break?
