Apologies for starting a new thread on this, but with a few key players out. I thought it would be good to have a place to monitor them and share any news.

Ricardo - back in training still a few weeks away from playing again.

Ndidi - had an operation last week will be out for another 10 weeks minimum.

James - will we ever see him fit again

Benkovic - hip - no details as far as I am aware!

Praet??

Evans??

Vardy?? All three went off last week any news?

Good idea. Always thought a thread of this type would be useful but too lazy to start one. Ideally it should be pinned and anyone with genuine info update it so that the rest of us can see at a glance what the current situation is thought to be.

BTW, Vardy said he was OK in his post match interview, but he would probably that anyway.

Was I the only one unconvinced by that excuse about his hip?   Any training photos this week ???

me too. it was his groin he was holding not his hip, but i suppose it could have been the socket joint. when i saw him first thoughts were it looked like the world cup. That said he was only out for a few days then. It is a bit worrying though that there has been no news from within th camp on any of the three injuries we picked up last weekend

Friday press conference? Hopefully we'll know more then!

Looked like his groin to me too. Think he did it raising his foot high to clear a corner about 5 minutes after half time. Mind you still scored 2 after that.

With the two week break after wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play Sunday to give 3 weeks to fully repair.

i was baffled why he wasn't subbed at the time but after the match explained it.. He must have a weird and wonderful injury that doesn't actually affect him really but does feel it .. weird. But it seems like he can continue games with it.

There is a pretty good article in The Athletic today on the club's sports science department and how they are trying to deal with injury prevention.

It's of course behind a paywall, but I haven't used any of my 5 free 30 day passes. If anyone wants one, just zing me a dm. First come first serve.

Vardy said himself after the game it's an injury he gets every now and then but he'll be fine I think.

He was favouring his groin after the Burnley game and he did ok against man city

Vardy (hip), Evans (calf), Praet (knee), Gray (virus) have all trained. All will be ready.

Under has had his international clearance and will be in the squad.

Benkovic is also back in training and has been for at least a week.

Leaves only Ndidi (groin, mid-late December) and Ricardo (knee, late October) as injury concerns. Club awaiting confirmation that Fofana is eligible for Sunday.

Don’t know. But Fofana will be fit enough if Evans isn’t fit and Maddison in if Praet isn’t fit.

One thing puzzled me about the Rennie sacking. Normally if you are 'restructuring' you advertise the new jobs  and current staff are allowed to apply. Only after new structure is in place are unwanted staff sacked. This way, there is no period without key roles filled. After Rennie sacking are we missing a key role, whilst injuries seem to be racking up?
