Seeing all those long range beauties by Drinkwater reminded me that recently, we seemed to shy away from shots from distance.

We mostly either counter atrack after beating the press or else pass, pass, pass and try to walk it in.

Apart from Maddison's pearler against Man City, have we scored that many long range screamers recently ?

According to Ashley Cole, Youri's been banging them in from outside the box all season

He was doing OK at chelsea until they sacked Conte and then Sarri never played him. Familiar situation. Some get back on track like Barkley but some don't. Injuries and mentality don't help.

Let’s be honest here, he could find a club very easily. Chelsea would let him go on a free, and if he was willing to accept a substantially lower salary, and dropped down a league he’d be snapped up by someone.

Similar situation to Wilshere, he’s (probably) unwilling to accept the pay cut and acknowledge that for a number of reasons he just isn’t the player he once was. Past performances and reputation is only worth so much, neither example has shown much to suggest they’re of any real worth to a PL club, or even a challenging Champ side, harsh reality, but it’s true.

Now I’m not bashing Danny, he was terrific for us, and he deserves plaudits for that, but that was then, this is now.

10 years ago I was 5 stone lighter and never had much trouble pulling decent birds, but if I showed a lass a highlights reel of my physique 10 years ago, she’d still f*** me off for a slimmer, smarter geezer with less miles on the clock!

Can we see your highlight reel in Fan Club?

As a league winner, he will always remain a legend for the club.. but he never liked us.

It all got to his head,  and as a result he fvcked over his career. Time to go back to Div 2 ply his trade and rebuild.

Perhaps after this promo video he needs to do a reality TV series.

A Premier league footballer having to do a promo video to find another club.. how the mighty have fallen ey 😂. Destined for the Championship or a relegation fodder Prem team with his limited ability and attitude.

He's probably the most successful city player I know that seemed to hate the fans.  I dont think he ever warmed to us, even when we loved him. Perhaps that just how I saw it though

having seen him out in both Leicester and london i'd agree

I saw him out before and was briefly having a beer or two with him, he was sound enough.

30 minutes later however he was thrown out and was being a complete dick (not to us but others)

Got a feeling he'll end up at a Championship club, I honestly don't believe he's heart in it anymore, but would love for him to prove me wrong, he was fantastic for us and a key player in the title win.

Sarri didn't like his fringe on top.

Remember his appearances for Villa early this year and he was way off the pace and couldn't get in the Burnley side.

I think he would be a good fit for someone in the championship, but seems to be going the way of Kingy unfortunately in that I dont think his body has got it in him to play at a high level now.

Always felt he was vastly overrated myself . Don’t get me wrong the year we won the League he was fantastic but much of that was down to having Kante along side him and our style of play suiting him that season . It was pretty much standard procedure Kante would win the ball back pass to Drinkwater who would send a long ball upfield to Vardy or Ryad .When you consider Matty James was keeping him out of the squad for large periods before he got injured  says it all really .

OK isn't good enough at a club like Chelsea. Vardy evolved and improved his all-round game after the title win and continues to thrive. DD didn't, and has hence almost disappeared without trace (you are correct in that injuries haven't helped).

I swear the music on this video references Dennis Praet. Not a great idea to have your successor’s name repeated on your promo video I wouldn’t have thought...

Good player, deserves his place in our history as much for 13/14 as 15/16, and I wish him very well in his quest for new form and a new club. But there’s not room for him here any more.

Definitely wants to promote Dennis Praet and bolognese 🤣😆
