Funny title for a LCFC forum but bear with me. Been posting a lot ( Tier4 covid), sorry. This might be bit long but might be impt. Usually I only get MOTD and highlights. I look at L'pool ,Man.U, and Man C and think how can we beat them, impossible. With my new found wealth I have Amazon Prime ( living on porridge and baked beans and on one months free trial). Saw all Palace game and two in title.and if those were typical games we have less  to worry about.

Man U v Wolves -I agreed with Amazon commentator Wolves were robbed. True they had to work very hard on a big pitch but they certainly did n't park any busses and despite Man U having most of possession I would have said Wolves just about deserved to win. Man. U. got a very lucky deflected goal in last minute of extra time. MOTM was Saisse (Wolves) and he deserved it.I dislike Man U and would dislike even their pet dogs and cats if I met them. i've  liked Wolves since Ron Flowers and Billy Wright (I think they'd played with Roman clubs before they landed with Caesar) but that I think  is still a reasonably unbiased summary. Radford was missing chances worse than he did against us. Martial would be good if all goals were raised about three feet, bit like our Demurai. Believe me we should have beaten them, not drawn.

L'pool v Newcastle. Just watched this, bit fresher in mind. L'pool were just like us., maybe worse. Hopeless at corners, miscontrolling balls , missing chances. I don't rate Newcastle very highly  but they did n't park any buses either and they are only just getting over club covid and playing away. L'pool had most possession and at one point the asst. Commentator who sounded like Ally McCoist was raving at  end of the first half about how much he enjoyed any match especially L'pool in full flow. I was thinking if this is L'pool in full flow we could get 3 more points soon. Mane looked a good winger but never achieved much, and Salah and Firminio looked as if they'd have been lucky to have played for us at Palace. Mind you I've seen Salah do some marvellous things ,he just did n't seem very good in close man to man competitive play.when he is n't given a chance to run with the ball.

Made my curry at 1/2 time and missed start second half. Still the same and for  most of the second half, until like us at Palace L'pool  woke up and turned things up a bit but not too much produced although Newcastle's goalie had to produce a couple of v.good saves, one a scrambled job, which helped earn him Ally McCoist's ,if it was him, MOTM. Mane about 5 minutes before the end decided the only way they would win was with a penalty and put his full concentration into it. NO luck .A. McCoist (?) mentioned LCFC very favorably 2nd half so he's alright, and lesson to ,Radio LCFC commentators.  Although he has a fund of stories and tells tham well he kept almost every thing he said to what we were watching, No stories about boy bands or the goal keepers socks. So as a result of that and his favorable mention of us, the Foxes,I made him COTM.

Now the point is this . Assuming what I watched is typical altho these big clubs look invincible in a ten minute highlight on  MOTD we're only seeing their good bits i.e. highlights. Most of the time when you have belief they are no better than the others , well not much. Forget what they cost. McGuire cost £80,000 (lubbly jubbly). Does n't mean he's worth it. I know who he is . he told the Greek police.  I remember a team in the E.Midlands who proved this many times a few years back and a lot of clubs are proving it this crazy season. We can still bloody win this again if we get a bit more belief and play the players who work hard all match. We've got a lot of good players coming back and after maybe the odd hiccup while they hit their form with a bit of luck and a lot of belief, they could do this. Barnes, JV , Justin, Kasper and a few others seem to me to have the belief regardless. If Brendan could get a bit more belief and find ,like Claudio, a way of passing this on to the rest while keeping them relaxed (not easy to do) who knows ? Whoever wins it this crazy season will need a bit of luck and it might not be us but if what I've seen this week is typical of Man U and L'pool we should certainly make top four. They ain't as good as the glossy bits shown on MOTD. I'm a dreamer but it could mean twice in five years , we'd have gatecrashed into the big six, I feel dizzy already.

Best not to judge teams too heavily during this period where the games are coming left, right and centre. Man United are generally shite especially when denied space but they always seem to get decent results. Liverpool are off form but are a very dynamic and dangerous side. We are better than United on our day but not so much Liverpool, plus both teams are defensively better than us. It would be surprising if we finish above either.

I know you love to start topics but there's a thread for this already, aptly named 'Premier League Thread 2020/21'

Sorry Stan , its the time i've got in covid solitary, I'm still learning my way around the forum hence my recent double post as well. I also misled ; Newcastle were at home. They'd  just kicked off when I got steam pressure up on my computer for Amazon and i could see it was a big place and thought it was Liverpool. I forgot Newcastle have a big gaff as well. Mind you I just read the BBC and Guardian match reports and it might not have been typical but  I was n't exagerating . They didn't think L'pool's front 3 were uo to much either until the last 15 minutes. Just hope they don't go as hard as us to try and get those 3 points back.

We just need to stop dropping points against sides we should be beating and we then won't need to sit analysing others results/performances.

Think most clubs in the premier league are thinking the same thing.

I sort of agree BUT L'pool and Man U players are mostly expensive and rated AND  playing for clubs that mean they naturally have a lot of belief. To me JV,Kasper,Barnes and a few of the others ,give 100% most of time and appear to have belief. I rate BR as a manager and he's probably a good analyser but I suspect he's not as good as Claudio at keeping them relaxed and at the same time giving belief. Thats not easy to do but the rest of our team are good players. even some of our b team. Its like golf , a belief game. Even top players go off the boil when confidence and belief go missing. Maybe BR could find a video of a match showing our next opponents playing shite and show it to our guys just before we meet them as part of training and tell them "Look guys I'm going to be annoyed and disappointed if you don't beat this crap". They are all playing some rubbish in certain matches this crazy season. Just look at some of the results, including ours. Prepare to be surprised,I hope.
