Own rules within the game?

Who knows? I don’t put anything past them and their friends at the ICC. International tournaments should be played with an equal chance for each team within that tournament to win. Interesting that more and more players are now speaking about this, especially with South Africa and New Zealand having to travel to Dubai, and then one of them back to Pakistan for their next game, absolute shambles, all to cater for the most heavily funded and corrupt country by the ICC.

You'll see this has all been covered in previous pages of the thread so it's not worth repeating myself (in short, I don't agree with what the BCCI do or how they operate).

But what evidence of our 'own rules' have we employed so far?

Ironic you bring that accusation to us when one of the other teams has been done for cheating in the past too :dunno:. Let alone Pakistan themselves too lol

We have the double issue of there not being many countries available to host events plus the Indian financial domination (which the ECB have craved with the plastic cricket auction).

Pakistan won't host another tournament, that is clear. This isn't a good compromise, either.

The BCCI dictate world cricket, and some on Twitter are saying they even used their financial muscle to ensure a turning pitch in Dubai. I don’t know how true that is but it was turning a lot today when in previous games not as much. I don’t have anything against India winning, but it just takes everything away from achieving victory through sporting merit. That’s the sad part.

And whilst cricket may be striving in India, in other countries, due to a lack of financial fair play from the BCCI and ICC, the game just isn’t played on an even field, there is a distinct lack of quality coming through and a shocking lack of competitiveness across international teams.

'some on Twitter.

That old cesspit where anyone can say anything.

Was it the same pitch as the last 2 games?

The lack of finances could be beyond way more than just BCCI/ICC. Got no idea how the financial breakdowns work for each association in each country or region, but you can't just blame India for that when there could be so many other factors at play.

Read into the finances and how revenue is shared by the ICC, you’ll find it most interesting.

Steve Smith has had some good fortunate and will he lead Australia to a competitive total ?

Just seen his wicket. On 73 and looking settled, what a bizarre shot selection lol

300 surely gonna be too much on this wicket?

264 is still competitive I'd say.

Did plenty in the end.

Yep, him and the batting depth was enough.

Still think it's rather a farce that the final of a tournament won't be held in the designated host country, but I think India will be very difficult to stop in the final.

Feel it’s a a shame for Pakistan really tbh .

Saw earlier that South Africa flew to dubai in case they had to play India but then flew back to Pakistan less than 24 hours later lol Great prep for a semi final.
