As unlikely as it is, you need these two still in at the end of the day. 

 

Root can help tire bowlers out on what will be a hot day tomorrow. Duckett is a liability out of the two. 

 

The bowlers are dominant now.

Being at the Oval yesterday, watching Root fluent, he really is superb. Amazed at how tetchy the stewards and even the Met got yesterday on bloody beer snakes ! 
 

Sets up Thursday nicely at TB

They always have been! Very and weirdly strict when people are just having a good time, harming absolutely nobody.

Stokes and Atkinson back in.

 

They got written warning for basically being out too late but were blameless in what actually happened - I suspect had it been a footballer and not a rugby player involved we'd be hearing more about that incident. 

 

Baker and Rew dropped.

Stokes proved by not playing that we need him massively.

 

Also showed how big the step up is from the county championship. Rew looked miles off it and so did Baker.

 

Key needs to go, they've completely ballsed up this investigation. Looks like they did nothing wrong and didn't even know the curfew applied post game.

Happy for him to play just not as a captain, he's strayed to many for me to be a leader. 

 

Team culture is a massive issue.

 

If the players aren't aware of the curfew, McCullum and Key need to go, its piss poor.

I heard that there were some players out with Stokes and Atkinson but they went before the curfew.

Curfew after a match has finished is ridiculous.

 

Personally thought Rew and Cox both looked like they had something that could be good for the future. But Rew made poor shot choices.

I agree.

 

But if you have rule the Captain needs to lead by example.

 

If the Captain doesn't know than Key or McCullum should go.

 

It not like its the first issue this group has had.

He also gave up two very reasonable catches - he didn’t look ready to me. Although Kiwi pace attack’s averages are all under 30
