Who would you like to see come to us on loan?

Recommended Posts

It doesn't matter who we bring in, he'll just be another new partner for goldenboy De Vries. Many have been tried, many have failed. So we may as well stick with what we've got.

Unless he's thinking of bringing in someone to partner Hume or Hammond which i doubt.

why would we want someone to partner hammond when he is shockingly bad.

I'm not sure Arsenal would want to loan out Lupoli purely because they need a few decent youngsters for their reserve games and Carling Cup matches. Loaning 1 or 2 out each season is fine for them and that's why we've got Smith, Sunderland have got Hoyte and Blackburn have got Bentley, but there comes a time when a club doesn't want to loan all their starlets out at the same time.

Wenger's got to do something with them before he releases them all.

You're mentioning all these players and people like Lupoli and Fowler have talent in abundance. But, before I see any of it I'd like to see what Chambers can do.

Team spirit is an important part of a successful football team.

I hear what you are saying, but think that if we got someone of Fowler's pedigree on loan, it would aid Chambers's development to play & train alongside him during a short term loan spell.

It would also give a big buzz to the team and club as a whole to get Fowler in on loan, which is what we need to help improve our gates.

To be honest I think it's all about the type of striker we require aswell. Levein placed the emphasis on pace when he signed Elvis and Hume. The problem is we don't utilise their pace correctly, mainly because we hoof the ball alot instead of looking to play it down the channels to run on to or passing it to feet so they can run at them.

I think we need a striker with great aerial presence, who can play alongside a quick striker and feed the ball to them.

We have some money in the bank and for me Kris Boyd at Kilmarnock is showing again this season how good he is. We need to get in there soon though as other clubs will be looking at him and his price will go up. They accepted a £100,000 bid for him in the summer with a few add on's, that piss all for a striker who's scoring goals at the minute. We haven't signed a striker for a long while who's on form when we sign them, he could be the one!

i wouldnt mind seein collins mbusema what ever is name is!! I dont think hume has proved himself nor as elvis. Jonaton Johanson looks alrite. Lee Trundle looking good or kenny deuchar!!! (gretna)

Hume will come good, quality always provails and he's got it in abundance. That Collins chap has just been told he's going to get a run of games for Portsmouth so he's out of the question. Deuchar is a doctor aswell as a footballer and I think he's gone on record that he doesn't want to give up being a doctor so is happy to stay part-time in the lower scottish leagues. He probably isn't championship level anyway. Trundle would cost over a million now he's showing everyone how good he really is.

People who think Trundle is just a fat waster are mistaken, he'd walk in to our team and stay there if we had him. He's proved me wrong this season and if they get promoted he'll show how good he is at our level aswell.

I'd welcome a move for Kris Boyd, but he didn't want to go to Cardiff, and now they have more of a chance of getting up than we do. Maybe the Scotish connection would persuade him

Cardiff offered him about £2000 a week aswell. They have bugger all money and have took a gamble with Purse and a few others. It's paying off at the minute but if they don't get promoted which I don't think they will then all hell will break loose. Boyd would come to Leicester and we could afford him, we still have one of the biggest pulling power in the league even if we are crap.

One thing's for sure, there's more than 30 names there so there ought to be someone among em who could boost our strike rate. In fact I'd say all of em would cos it wouldn't take a lot of doing.

Right now they've got better strikers in the education service than we have!

What worries me is that our goalscorers have done no good this season and I don't remember any records being broken last season either.

I'll be interested to see the results of Levein's intensive attacking work. Trouble is all his teams seem to be weighted more strongly towards defence than attack and we really need to restore the balance.

Personally I wouldn't wait for the helter skelter of the transfer window opening. I'd go for a loan and agreement to sign in January if I could get away with it.

Another month is not going to turn Hammond into a Jimmy Greaves and Hume never was a frontman so why waste more time before acting?.

I still can't help thinking he'll sign someone we've barely heard of. Certainly picking unknowns can pay dividends for outfield players and defenders but strikers get their names and faces noticed - and not without reason. Let's stick to specialists for this one, Craig.... in the form guy whose CV suggests that goals are guaranteed.
