Hello and welcome to 2 hours ago, apart from the Rodgers speculation of course, no one on this forum thinks that will happen, but you never know.

Annoyingly, the sacking of Tunchel from Chelsea will not go in our favour. Wouldn't make much business sense, to sack him, pay him off, for then Chelsea to then employ him. We would be kicking ourselves for not taking the money.

On the other hand, would they want to pay for Rodgers, or would they only want him if he was available. Difficult one.

Strangely enough, Rodgers seems a better fit for Chelsea than Potter does. Chelsea only tend to keep a manager for a couple of seasons or so which suits Rodgers because he is more likely to produce results in the short term than Potter is.

Hope not. We need to accept that wherever he goes, he's gonna do very well, and he'll take that team to a level above us. Even though this situation will probably be for just two seasons. He'd do well at Brighton.

Maybe as Chelsea tried to sign all the defenders in the league, they could also star accumulating all the managers. Get them both in and have a glorious relationship like roy evans and gerard houllier did!

Thankfully we don't seem to be paying BR that much, that would be his salary with full incentives achieved. I guess we're paying closer to 5m/y

Sadly enough, I bet they don't see it that way

I just cannot see how they would go from Tuchel to Rodgers. Just not going to happen.

It will be Potter unless he turns them down. If he refuses, the obvious next choice is Pochettino, who won't refuse it. So you're right - zero chance of it being Rodgers.
