HybridFox Posted 27 September 2022 Share Posted 27 September 2022 (edited) Is he our foreign Nicky Maynard who we'll continuously get linked with? Edited 27 September 2022 by TK95
Sly Posted 28 September 2022 Share Posted 28 September 2022 He’s a very good player and would be a major upgrade on our left side. For this to happen, it’ll most likely involve Castagne leaving I’d imagine.

taupe Posted 28 September 2022 Share Posted 28 September 2022 This is fodder story surely? No chance we sign Gosens. It makes no sense to me. There's a shit load of dosh coming from somewhere if we do. It's not even a priority position.
davieG Posted 22 October 2022 Share Posted 22 October 2022 http://sportwitness.co.uk/leicester-target-leave-january-not-certain-hell-remain-club-much-longer/ Leicester target ‘could leave in January’ – ‘Not certain’ that he’ll remain at club much longer By Tom Coast -21st October 2022 The idea that Leicester City could make a move for Robin Gosens in January is one that has lingered in Italy over the past few weeks. We saw a claim from FCInterNews last month stating that the Foxes, who recently beat Leeds 2-0, could return for the German defender, who is barely playing these days at Inter. Sure, he scored against Barcelona, but with reports that the Serie A side are interested in Ramy Bensebaini, the possibility of Gosens leaving is growing. This hasn’t stopped, with TuttoMercatoWeb on Friday claiming the player ‘could leave in January’, and ‘it’s not certain’ that he will remain at Inter beyond the upcoming transfer window. Not only are Leicester keen, but clubs in Germany, with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen named, are also in the mix. A lot could depend on how much Inter decide to use him ‘between now and the World Cup’, and if Simone Inzaghi turns to him more often than not, this won’t become an issue. However, if he ends up being benched more often than not, then a move away isn’t excluded, meaning a door for Leicester could open just wide enough for Brendan Rodgers to stick his foot in. taupe Posted 22 October 2022 Share Posted 22 October 2022 I really don't see this one at all. Given our supposed finances and our squad, it neither stacks up nor makes sense positionally. Nailed on isn't it? We're in the same boat as the summer, we need players out before anything can happen, no?

We have a decent amount of players out of contract in the summer, Tieleman, Soyuncu, Amartey, Perez, Mendy, Evans. Wages has been the main issue, so that will help a lot. Shaving off a decent chuck of the wage bill, somewhere between 200k - 300k a week, to go on top of the 120k we saved from Kasper. Can't see Gosen coming but we are going to see incomings of some sort.

Financially we went for both Boga and Ocampos on deadline day so there seems there could be finances available for at least 1 signing Positionally it doesn't make sense when we could have Ricardo back after the World Cup and we have seen how desperate our set up is for a right winger

No, seriously, obviously there might be some wiggle room for only 6 months, and clearly I don't know the financial situation, and we could find room in the squad, it's just that as a signing it doesn't make sense to me. Maybe it'd be 'one for the future' and we're anticipating losing a FB in the the summer window??

Gosens won't come here unless we are much further up the table which doesn't look very likely at the moment.
