Leicester Loanees

Sowah has returned and was at Wembley yesterday, as was Andy King (no social media posts from Benkovic or Eppiah but I can imagine they were probably there as well)

Thomas Henry

Unfortunately as a lot of us probably expect this summer, going to be a lot of interest in Henry, Swansea City linked

Swansea are mulling over summer move for Leuven striker Thomas Henry, after prolific season with 21 goals in Belgium

Swansea City are weighing up a summer move for French striker Thomas Henry at Leuven.

Much may hinge on how Steve Cooper's side fare in their play-off clash with Barnsley this week as Swansea make a final push for promotion to the Premier League.

Henry is highly valued by his club Leuven as he has been prolific in the Belgian League scoring 21 goals in 31 games.

They bought him for £450,000 from Tubize in 2019 but he is now valued considerably higher with interest mounting from Germany and Turkey with Besiktas linked in recent months.

The 26-year-old is 6ft 4ins, good in the air and has decent link up play, while is particularly strong in the penalty area, hence the reason he has scored 41 goals in 71 games.

David Hubert

30 starts for Leuven last season, and has left to join Zulte Waregem on a free transfer

@ESSEVEELIVE has strengthened himself with David #Hubert (33). The midfielder was at the end of his contract @OHLeuven and signed a two-season contract in the Elindus Arena.

Sowah is training with LCFC for 3 weeks now. I wonder when they will make a decision on his future, would he be able to get a work permit?

it will be a great loss. The good thing is there is a lot of interest from different countries so they should be able to negotiate a good price. We are in a strong position, we don't need to sell. They can follow leicester's example in negotiations as they did for Maguire, Chilwell,... Jackpot or he stays.

The new work permit rules mean he will actually be eligible for a work permit due to have much he has played for Leuven

I think he has 2 years left on his deal as well doesn't he? Should certainly be able to get a good price for him if he does go

If he's training with us then he must have had it approved. He cannot train unless he's got one.

Interesting he's over here - seen KDH is with the first team but expect him to join them at some point too.

I suppose with crowds being allowed in next season, not all the games will be televised?

even with crowds allowed, all games are televised on Eleven Sports.

Any transfer rumours?! @Bonanza @Lizhang

None so far for incoming transfers. The club has stated that they will be signing 12 to 15 new players since most of our team from last year is gone.

Of the 13 players whose contract expired only Pierre-Yves Ngawa was offered a new deal. He signed a new 2-year deal. We also had 6 players whose loan deal ended. They all return to their parent club.

Have left the club:

Sascha Kotysch (retired)

David Hubert, Andy King, Derrick Tshimanga, Frederic Duplus, Jordy Gillekens, Tom Van Hyfte, Samy Kehli, Kenneth Schuermans, Olivier Myny, Jeremy Perbet and Stallone Limbombe (contract expired)

Filip Benkovic, Kamal Sowah, Thibault Vlietinck, Vaclav Jemelka, Jonah Osabutey and Josh Eppiah (loan deal expired)

Brent Laes (sold to Lierse)

There are some rumours about outgoing transfers:

Thomas Henry will most likely leave our club in the next couple of days/weeks. Some of the teams that have shown interest are Swansea, Brighton, Besiktas and Celta de Vigo.

Aboubakar Keita will most likely be sold to Charleroi (Belgian 1st division)

Xavier Mercier has recieved a lot of interest from teams from Belgium, Turkey, UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Both Besiktas and Trabzonspor have shown interest in Kristiyan Malinov.

This is our team for the moment (players with * behind their name are youth players):

Goalkeepers

Rafael Romo (31, VEN)

Kawin Thamsatchanan (31, THA)

Oregan Ravet (19, BEL)*

Going to have to be a big summer, quick turnaround last year between seasons absolutely screwed you in terms of squad building really

Just from looking at that list I can only really see 8 players that should be in your first team squad (excluding the youth players)

Romo, Ngawa, De Norre, Malinov, Al-Tamara, Schrijvers, Mercier, Henry

With interest in Henry, Mercier and Malinov as well, turnaround is going to be massive - could be a big chance for some of the youngsters as well (looking at you Keita!)

Hopefully we have a couple of players we can send over to help you out (as long as Brys wants them of course)

We're going to need a whole new squad for sure!

I think this season will be crucial for our club. If we can bring in the right players we can really compete for a spot in the top 8 and qualify for the playoffs. That really has to be the goal for this upcoming season!

Has there been anything about whether you will have money to spend or whether it will be all free agents?

In terms of loanees from ourselves probably looking at some of the promising young players like Leshabela (21), Suengchitthawon (21), maybe Tavares (19) if he sticks around - all midfielders/attacking mids

With the club back at pre-season and only 6 weeks until the first league game should hopefully see some movement with players next week
