The PL squad deadline is this Friday I think. However, we had one spare place anyway (with Justin & Fofana already included) - and it was a toss up between Mendy and Benkovic as to who would get it. Everybody thought it would be Mendy, but now I guess it will be Benkovic's.

Oh yes, just spotted that news. Oh well, Mendy is likely to be in the PL squad now, instead of Benko.

....is this due to the inconsistencies of dealing with Turkish clubs or is it a strategic move by the club in respect of the availability of able bodied players!!!

They can't get him to Turkey in time to complete the deal, he is still in Dakar

Even though the club’s hands are tied on some of these decisions, I guess I was wrong in the Transfer Talk threads about how Rodgers sees Mendy.

I wonder if Mendy only signed again last summer because we couldn’t afford to buy soumare last summer? We offered 1 he wanted 2, it worked out cheaper to do 2 than buy soumare last summer? He will be gone in jan I’d guess
