TAFKA Castroneves Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 We've all said Burnley are a tough side to play against, but that really doesn't excuse the fact that we should be able to beat them. fock this in all honesty, we need an attacker THAT CAN SCORE, we need at LEAST a coach or two who can tell Levein how the fock to attack - and most of all we need to see some progress because every time we take a step forward we take two back. Come on City pull it together for christs sake!
Gené and Tonic Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 Sorry Filbertway but Levein hasn't been good in the transfer market. We needed a good goalscorer, we got a sprinter and an attacking midfielder. He's only good for one thing, defensive tactics, and defensive players.
Gené and Tonic Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 So will playing sheehan make us win??? it will help!
Jimmy Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 So will playing sheehan make us win??? no but it would show he had some basic attacking knowledge, ffs joey and kisnorbo in the middle, a back 4 containing 3 centerhalfs and only 1 striker on the bench, after saying he would start to focus on attacking. NOT **** GOOD ENOUGH
martyn Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 Todays team selection was baffling to say the least. Hoof ball to 2 massive lumps with 2 defensive midfielders trailing behind. I wonder how many second balls we won today. It's getting a bit too frequent with Levein now, I'm still willing to see what he comes up with in January but I think patience is running thin amongst everybody now. The next 4 league games will be make or break.
Foxes_Wizard_Striker Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 Our imoparant signing in tranfser market should be attacking coach
Louise Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 FTs: Burnley 1 - 0 Leicester Coventry 1 - 1 Ipswich Crewe 1 - 2 Stoke Norwich 2 - 0 Luton Plymouth 3 - 1 QPR Preston 2 - 1 Cardiff Reading 3 - 1 Hull Sheffield Utd 2 - 2 Millwall Southampton 3 - 4 Leeds Watford 2 - 1 Sheffield Wed We're 16th.
Gené and Tonic Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 and a striker Lupoli on loan preferably
marko Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 it will help! In the games i've seen him play he hasn't been anything special and looked out of his depth in the first half against Wednesday.
Gené and Tonic Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 At least we will have a fullback who isn't afraid to attack. Can pass the ball well. Can hit a darn good freekick. And is actually a fullback!
Thracian Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 No goals, precious few shots, could have lost by three, stuffed twice by the same (ordinary) team in a few weeks, four wins in 18 games. Commentators say they've played all combination of strikers.... truth is we won by two goals against Sheffield Wednesday and there was a reason for it but Levein is too stubborn to admit it. He persists with his same lame, unimaginative and disjointed approach. Stearman, Sheehan, Hughes, Hume, Smith, Chambers should all be in the side against Watford and the whole approach should be positive. How long do you have to say it ... after 400 minutes without a goal there sweet fa to lose. Team Tuesday: Douglas; Stearman, McCarthy, Gerrbrand, Sheehan; Smith, Hughes, Williams; Hume; Chambers, MDV. Subs: Hammond, Hammond, Nils, Joey, Dion. do it.
Jimmy Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 i believe chambers is too young thrac also you've only named 4 subs
Gené and Tonic Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 That's a good team. But I feel we would still need a defensive minded midfielder in there. Nevertheless, that team is just a dream under Levein
martyn Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 What was this specific reason for our 2 goal win against Sheffield Wednesday?

Gené and Tonic Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 Sheehan played. That helped. But also, Sheff Wed were poor.
Jimmy Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 i'm sure would mean that smith and hume drift out wide all the time as well
Gené and Tonic Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 Don't like it. Far too narrow. Sheehan and Stearman would provide the width
marko Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 Don't like it. Far too narrow. Exactly, Smith would be rendered useless in a narrow midfield.
Gené and Tonic Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 He didn't do too much today though. Give it a go, you never know. It's got to better than what we're doing now.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 19 November 2005 Posted 19 November 2005 Chambers is too young. If we finish below 12th this season, Levein has got to go. F**king disgraceful!
