  All your misgivings are totally well founded but you are missing common sense in this scenario. 

  Doubt we would have been serenading Claudio during the game if we were losing (fans are so fickle) it was a magnanimous gesture and really should  be seen  and appreciated as that.

  I believe it was Steve Claridge who remarked if he was ever feeling low and in a bad place, just taking a trip to Leicester will be all he needs to lift him up.

  We (supporters) have a big heart for our heroes...we choose to celebrate them, as we should.

Seriously - how ungracious and miserable do you have to be to resent an outpouring of affection for Claudio after what he did at Leicester?

 

He delivered the greatest story in football history.  He was consistently charming and entertaining, and treated the fans with respect.  Nothing that happened afterwards changes any of that.  No amount of gratitude shown on Sunday would have been excessive in my opinion.
