Yeah glad Ranieri got the reception he deserved, especially before the game.

His achievement with us never will be forgotten but its nice we can show our appreciation to him and also win the game.

It was nice. I got a little bit emotional for a minute before kick-off thinking that we shared the best year of our lives with this man.

I will say that singing his name at several points throughout the game may have been a little bit much though. I thought the one before kick-off when we first saw him was perfect. I know it certainly wasn't intended this way, but singing his song when we were winning 3-1 and 4-2 may have come across like we were almost taunting him.

Personally I’ve never felt more connected to the club than I did when Pearson was in charge.

This.

Claudio is a legend though!

Rodgers is following in the footsteps of Pearson just can't see him sticking around long term which Pearson would.

Was thinking imagine the atmosphere if Pearson returned when I heard the Ranieri chants. The place would be crazy.

On today it was nice to give him a good few chants, he is a class act. Also it helped our atmosphere which so far this season in the prem has been nothing short of pathetic. However it did get abit too OTT and was frustrating when fans would go all out for the sentimental chants and then revert straight to silence.

Not really given what happened with him here.

He was managing the team playing against us today. We support Leicester. Today his name was sung louder, several times, than any song in support of our own team. That's weird.

Love the bloke. Very, very weird that we sang louder for the opposition's manager than we did for anyone else though.

I think his role in his winning the PL is occasionally diminished by some (big suggesting you’re in that canoe BTW)

I sang louder for him that any any other stage today…. What helped achieve was miraculous and I’ll be forever grateful

Sound. I'll look forward to us all singing that loudly for Mahrez in future then. I'm sure that'll motivate our current team and manager.

He's a nice guy but watching his Watford team play reminds me why we sacked him. Not a good manager.

Rodgers is a great manager, better than Ranieri, but something he could work on is trying to connect more with the fans. MON and Ranieri forged an emotional connection with us, which along with their successes is why we have fond memories of them. I'm not talking about passion, just more about showing emotion at the right times.

Actually thinking about it Pearson was similar to Rodgers. Another great manager for us, but IMO not as much of an emotional connection as MON / CR. All four will always be in high esteem by me though!

I’m going to have to take issue with this idea that it’s a clear-cut fact that Rodgers is a better manager than Ranieri. That’s not to say that I disagree completely, just the matter-of-fact way that people seem to make this point.

I would suggest Rodgers would do very well to have a career as good as Ranieri’s. He’s not won a serious domestic league or even got out of the group stage of the Champions League, both of which Ranieri managed in his first 16 months with us, let alone the rest of his career which is littered with managing some of the top clubs in the world, going deep in European competitions and winning the odd domestic cup. Ranieri probably didn’t win as much as he should have done but he didn’t get those jobs for nothing, he was a very good manager - if a late 90s/early 2000s Ranieri came on the market now we’d struggle to be able to attract him to the club.

Wouldn’t have been happy as an opposition  fan seeing my manager waving and applauding the home fans either.
