I’m two hours into it right now and it has some good moments. But it’s too long and a bit channel 5 in that it needs editing heavily - we get it and don’t need a re-cap… I’m at the point that I could turn it off and not watch the end as it’s just a tad lethargic now.

People tend to be dogmatic and resistant to change, yeah. And given that the entire mechanism of evolution is based on adaptation to change, that's not a good survival strategy.

Ya think??!! 🤣🤣

I thought it was clumsy and unbelievably heavy handed, they might as well have called the president Donalda Tramp. It was watchable, just not well handled at all.

Just finished it having not saw much at all about it amd absolutely loved it.

I'm not going to pin the complexity of climate change and the world populations psychological acceptance of it on a movie starring Jennifer Lawrence. I just took it for what it was and found it very entertaining.

I thought it was brilliant but IMO the film is more about how social media is a dangerous engine re: the fragmentation of truth and conflict in society. It is about climate change as well but for me it’s actually not the main point.

Agree with this.  Climate change is only one threat (though the most pressing right now), but what is critical is how we respond to such threats, on social media and otherwise.

Fragmentation of society in the face of a crisis in the future, possibly aided and abetted by social media, may lead to some very bad results. That, I think, is the main takeaway.

Found the film incredibly unfunny.  Too much American humour for my taste.  Gave up on it at after the meeting with the President.
