Good luck today mate.

just north of where you are today and it's a windy one, hope it's behind you going up that hill. You've done the training so hopefully you'll hit your time.

How was the weather where you were all day?

I can laugh about it now but I don’t really know how to explain how bad it was out there at times 😂. I’ve seen stories of people being pulled off the course because they had turned blue.

1:57 very chuffed - not my quickest by any stretch but ran it really well and controlled. My brother probably could have got 1:55, he was flying and he pulled me up New Walk to my quickest time up there.

Horrible scene at top of New Walk. Hope those affected are okay

Half marathons are actually a lot more enjoyable when you aren’t going for a time and just want a good run out and take it all in

What happened?

According to the Mrs who was near it a man collapsed, frothing at the mouth and needed a defib. Not sure on the outcome after that but fingers crossed for him.

By the way I had a snigger at your sign too!

Well well well the pacer who took my pen will probably never be asked back. Took us the wrong fcukin way for 0.3 km and she pretended she needed to do her laces up and then ran back the other way and home the cooont. 😂😂😂😂

Average pace was 4 min 59 seconds which brought me in at my target but my official time will be over. People were going wild hahahahaaaa I had a pepperami and righted a few wrongs up the business end.

Totally. The irony was my brother who was supposed to be shepherding around went to levels of speed he hadn’t done before!

Yeah was mad. Because it pulled even those who weren’t following the pacer to go that. Explains why we were way ahead of 1:45 at some point

Yeah, tail between her legs and snuck off as everyone else joined back up with the runners on Charles St

Think the event is too big for the infrastructure now.

Literally bumping and crawling out the last half mile due to numbers

I thought as well yesterday that the quality of the runners has improved. A lot stronger in the first 10k. So more bunching New Walk was really tight as well
