i believe this is what attaches the ballcock.

make your life 100% easier and just replace the whole inner workings, it saves a lot of time. effort and money.

Apart from the jokey rules of plumbing, like sh*t flows downhill and don't chew your fingernails, here are one or two more that I've learnt the hard way:-

1. Make sure the that stop-cock under the sink isn't jammed open. If it is, disaster will happen.

2. No matter how many spanners you own, none of them will be the right size.

3. Always keep a collection of fibre and rubber washers of different sizes. One might actually fit.

4. Keep a list of plumbers, one of whom might even answer their phone if/when disaster does happen.

Hi Guys,

Can anyone identify the attached part of the toilet cistern and advice where I can get a replacement and whether they vary in size and dimension etc…

Thanks in advance

You are always my go to guys. Lol

I could easily replace this part as it just clips in but if it needs a whole cistern then I think a plumber doing it would be wise.

p.s. It is one of the button flush cisterns with the button in the middle.

Take the part to a plumbing outlet and ask them what would be the best way of replacing it. I've done it a few time's with local merchants and they've been really helpful without trying to sell me stuff.
