Ajax Treesdown Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 I have just been talking to a load of lads who sit in the kop (bout 20 of them). They said a defeat today and the crowd will definately be shouting "Levein Out" in mass as a few started at Watford game. I will join them.
Cobbo Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 Let's not forget Sheff Yoo are the second best team in the league going on the table... I am more bothered about the performance and spirit against the better sides. If it were someone shit, then I wouldn't be happy at losing, but wouldn't be calling for his head either. Who would you replace him with?
Ajax Treesdown Posted 26 November 2005 Author Posted 26 November 2005 Gary Megson If I could have anyone.... Burley I reckon with persuasion he would come here, only if no one else has grabbed him. He'd love it because of the Derby fiasco. Craig is taking us down to depths we haven't been at before. I think Sheff U will win 0-3 today to be honest.

You've got a short memory, how about Taylor and Adams??? I think some people on this forum are so short sighted!!! Just look at what huge changes have been made to the team in a year, Do any of you think that any other manager we could of got would of done better?? I think a lot of people will be changing their tune in the new year when we have people like wesolinski back and possible some good signings in the window. I know for a fact that there is at least 1 million quid available to spend as i am friends with a major shareholder, lets just hope CL spends it wisely ala Hughes. I agree with the fact that he has to stop playing his favourites like Kisnorbo and Sylla but i'm sick of Wankers who have got a clue about football or how to be a proper fan talking about Levien out if someone shouted that in front of me i would chin them and nearly did on Tuesday! Get behind the team and manager and show some loyalty on Tuesday night when the crowd started getting behind the team we scored 2 goals lets hope we can have the same effect today!!
Jonbluefox9 Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 They said a defeat today and the crowd will definately be shouting "Levein Out" in mass as a few started at Watford game. How do they know that "the crowd will definately be shouting "Levein Out" in mass" if we lose? Just because 20 people say they'll be singing it doesn't mean everyone would join in. Anyway, there are many ways you can lose a football match so are they saying that they'll be singing Levein out if we lose to two penalties that shouldn't be given after leading the match 1-0?
FNQ Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 Do any of you think that any other manager we could of got would of done better?? Yes.
Hitesh Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 I dont understand why they are booing the players and CL. I know that they havent been doing well recently but realistically who will want to come in and replace him? The manager will have no money to spend and it will be just like last season when MA left but worse. George Burley is the only name that comes to mind and he might be alright but i cant see him wanting to come to Leicester. We just have to get throught this tough period but know that in the long term it will be worthwhile. CL is working on it, he doesnt have much moneu and is trying to build his squad up. Ok, its taking a long time and longer than he thought but we just have to get through it and support it. Otherwise we will end up changing managers every season!
Milky Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 CL is working on it, he doesnt have much moneu and is trying to build his squad up. i agree he should still be given more time. we should take a look after his first full season. but to say he hasn't had much money. he's spent nearly 2 million quid. how much money has Watford had to spend exactly? boothroyd has converted them from shit near relegation to 3rd and has spent peanuts really. how about teams like QPR and Luton also. they haven't had much to spend either to be honest. i think it would be a fair assessment to say that levein seems to have spent poorly, it looks like he's paid over the odds for a few players. i like the Gerrbrand, Hughes, Macarthy and Maybury signings though. After all that my point is that in comparison to other sides in the league he has had money to spend. Maybury £100,000 Hughes £100,000 Gerrbrand £300,000 (or around that) McCarthy £100,000 Hume £500,000. (could rise to £750,000) Gilbert £200,000 Hammond £350,000 (could cost up to) Total = 1, 650,000 could rise to 1,900,000. Though i must add that to be fair to him he has had to rebuild from pretty much scratch, getting rid of all the dead wood.

shen Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 I'm guessing they'll keep their mouths shut after todays performance!
The People's Hero Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 Well by the sounds of it, it's what we've been crying out for. A bit of attacking football, some goals etc. Anyway, I'm smiling now. Sheff Utd may have just scored a consolation but still. Clear off Warnock, nice to stuff your lot today, see if you can mess up Pompey any further - it won't be easy, but I think you've got what it takes.
Milky Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 Are you an accountant? i'm studying Finance accounting and management. lol
john_lcfc Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 Craig Levein is a tactical genious (clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap) Craig Levein is a tactical genious
Jimmy Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 the phrase stay of exicution comes to mind, but more performances like that will clear all the critersisms up
Milky Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 the phrase stay of exicution comes to mind, but more performances like that will clear all the critersisms up i think levein has deserved his criticism, alot of very valid points have be made. however i do think it has to work both ways, give credit where it is due aswell. so credit to the management for today's performance. i hope it continues so we don't have to keep voicing our discontent.

Jimmy Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 i dint say he dint deserve it just that if we play more like that then he will be here to stay
Thracian Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 I'm guessing they'll keep their mouths shut after todays performance! If he'd taken today's approach when we all started shouting for it, we'd have shut our mouths back in mid-September and we'd probably have been close to the top of the League too.
Thracian Posted 26 November 2005 Posted 26 November 2005 Exactly. I think credit HAS been given loud and clear, reading the threads. I think credit should be given to the fans too - for so vociferously pointing out some of his stupid errors. Today's approach was no accident, believe me. Don't tell me 90 minutes unyielding attack, of substitute forwards replacing forwards, of almost constant ball-to-feet passing etc was NOT in response to the fans anger. Cos I just wouldn't believe it. I'll certainly credit Levein for taking notice though and the question now is whether his attacking resolve weakens or not. After all...which kind of football do we all prefer?. Loads have complained about the Walkers' lack of atmosphere but it didn't lack atmosphere today - certainly not where I was sitting (even though it was nowhere near full). The difference was we had something to cheer about, something to take a pride in and part of Levein's job is to make sure that happens regularly.

He's always said he wants the team to pass the ball around rather than playing the long ball. I don't think that's a new idea that has just come about. Half the time it's been due to the way the defence have chosen to distribute the ball that we've still been hoofing it.
