It's been a tough season for JE so far as it has been for most of our players but credit where credit is due tonight he is set to win his 100th Cap for his country a great achievement.

He's had a fantastic career and has proved to be such a bargain at just £3milion in the days of such inflated transfer fees.

Has to go down as one of the best buys ever.

Consistently been our best defender since he's been here and fully deserved the captaincy role here.

OK as I said this year he's struggled along with the rest of our lads but hopefully he will play through it and play many more games for us and his country.

Well done Jonny.

Behind the obvious, possibly our Martin and Norman Whiteside possibly the greatest Northern Irish footballer ever?

Would be interesting to see what Northern Ireland fans think and where they’d rank him in their all time greats.

Been a great player for us, shame about his age, and probably the most complete defender I've seen at the club.

Had a great career. 100 caps for his Country, 3 Premier League titles, 1 Champions League, 2 league cups, 1 FA Cup, 4 Community Sheilds.

Presume the obvious are George Best and Pat Jennings?

Yeah, I think those two go without saying as genuine World Class players and unless I am missing someone obvious the only two Norther Irish men in that genuine world class bracket.

With some of the dossers they've had at the back since, some decision makers at United must rue letting him go. Bargain at £3m given he was linked with c. £25m moves in the preceding January. He's made 145 apps for us, he can probably push for 200.

Many would say Danny Blanchflower was in that bracket as well.
