"The answer was that EFL broadcasting rules do not allow it to be free"

So the next question then is why not offer it for a tenner or a quid?

It's for a month so, on average, that's less than a quid a game.  I suspect you can't even by a mars bar for that nowadays.....

"The other difference this year, we understand, is that not all U-21 matches will be shown live on the Hub.  This, apparently, is because the number of viewers for many games last season was very low."

Maybe they didn't publicise it enough, sometimes it was hard to know if it was being streamed.

Sometimes it was streamed on YouTube as well as the OS sometimes not.

The media department is a bit of a shambles at times and certainly very inconsistent.

Spot on, rather than post previews and details on social media, it was often the case that the first mention was the final score, or at best the first goal going in.

Have you read  - Why we sleep by Matthew Walker?

What is really annoying is that i had no option but to pay to hear the Tranmere game and the sound went shit, i refreshed and i'd lost my subscription and missed the last 15 minutes.

It worries me that the foxes trust have asked a question, that they already had an answer for.

Need to make it look like they are actually trying to do something

Didn't seem like it. I don't think anyone anywhere in the world was showing it or any others other than the 2 being screened by Sky.

Maybe....

"I have international coverage at a cost of $180, which allows me to watch all games that are not broadcasted by USA broadcasters (ESPN). However, it does not include cup games, so I couldn't watch the Tranmere game; I could only listen to the audio. As expected, the presentation and stream quality are poor. I can cast it from my phone to the TV, but it doesn't work directly on my TV or laptop. Furthermore, their customer service is non-existent. Jim Donnelly seems to be the person who emails you in response and does not really seem to know much about it. It's quite a change from him threatening to cancel your season ticket for informing the ticket office of their incompetence."

Sounds like LCFC.

Are the audio commentaries now still just audio from the video stream or is it actual radio style commentary yet?

Use online pirate services - because we arrgh where we arrgh?

The original ‘We are where we are’ will never be forgotten will it? 😬😂

Just as cringe as the phrase ‘It is what it is.’

Is anything not what it is?

It’s the principal…Radio coverage FFs!!
The Govt & society ALL had access over radio…Many of either forgot or wasn’t even born to appreciate what was for society education & information just not a discussable topic ..Fk the Mars bar, some people can’t afford a Milky Way..plus Radio IS /was for all, creed, breed, brood & gramhone goldfish…

Dick Dastardly has sprung out of the comics and become a reality…

Just shows modern Brits are insular and are  happy when their world turns over ok.!!

You know what a German can turn his radio on & find sport programmes, event, matches from local radio…

Scrouge is alive and kicking in Britain, before Xmas past came calling…

Because there's a chance you'll decide to go and watch a lower league team instead... Apparently, or you'd not go to the away game if it was on TV. It's archaic nonsense and ridiculous in 2023, but still we persist because tradition.

It's amazing how we drop tradition for lots of things but not for others.

Don’t see the problem here.

You moaners probably blow a tenner on Netflix a month, £6 on Amazon Prime.

£4.50 a month to listen to the games if you can’t get access elsewhere is a bargain.

You've got to draw a line somewhere haven't you? Not everything needs monetising. What if they charged for toilet usage in the ground? 50p a poo, bargain.

It's not the amount it's the principle. Football fans being squeezed again. It's arguably worse in the Champ as it doesn't get the coverage Prem stuff does.
