Aside from portions of SK1, L1 and the away end you have essentially the whole ground to choose to sit. Probably 27,000 seats, if you want to stand there's a few thousand at most. If you want to sit you\re spoilt for choice.

In an ideal world the standers migrate to the Kop and the current sitters move out. A standing Kop is a time-honoured tradition of English football and our ground move killed it.

If the club aren't willing to continue to move people then our atmosphere won't improve drastically. Waiting for a stadium expansion which is a rolling 'few years away' isn't a silver bullet for a better atmosphere.

For what I've gathered there was a natural progression at Filbert St. You'd start out in the family stand, end up in the pens as a virile youth and eventually make your way into a more placid stand later on. That's not the case at the KP and the lack of fresh STHs only exacerbates the problem.

Our Ground move never killed standing in the kop at football. It was Hillsborough and the Taylor report.

I didn’t mean football at large. People stood in the Kop post Taylor report at Filbert street, they don’t now

Not even if you live far- I travel to midweek games from Essex and often get home at half 12. Not that difficult to wait another 10 mins

I agree but last time people were up in arms when I ommitted this! I live 1 hr+ away and stay until the end of every game. The only exuse would be some kind of emergency.

You can't be evicted from a piece of plastic you don't own.

People shouldn't be going the football to catch up with family and friends.  You go the the match to support and watch the football.

However if people like this insist on still going out of habit please move to the West Stand where there are thousands of others like you.

Remember it's just a piece of plastic, you don't own the seat or have rights over it forever.

I'm going to keep my direct debit going and be buried with my seat.

Seems to me that part of the problem in terms of atmosphere is acoustics and that many parts of the ground cannot hear the singing section.

if that is the case why not move it somewhere near the centre and then both ends of the ground could hear and join in if they want.

of course, the ufs chaps will say that it’s not the same and the Kop has always been behind the goal. Unfortunately those who had tickets in the double decker at filbo also want to stay behind the goal, as do many who frequented the kop in their youth but hung up their dm’s, grew their hair (and subsequently lost most of it) and now take a flask rather than a flick knife to games.

i do not profess to know the answer, but the constant bickering between what appears to be the younger sections of the fan base, who seem to think that the older fans should simply give up their long held seats for them, and those who refuse to budge is becoming divisive and symptomatic of what is happening at the club.

some would do well to remember that those who they call happy clappers have been supporters for decades, and by the same token, there needs to be some recognition that new blood is needed to become the next generation of fans, who hopefully one day will introduce their own kids to the lcfc family.

We have no 'end' at all at this ground. Save for SK1 I think the Kop is genuinely at this point worse for atmosphere than the family stand. It's a real mess.

Not true. Plenty of other clubs manage it even if unofficially. Our ground layout has killed the atmosphere. It will not improve unless the club demonstrate a desire to facilitate the moves. There is only so much those willing to contribute to the noise can actually do.
