FoxesFan#1 Posted 7 February 2025 Posted 7 February 2025 This is the best thread on FT and I’ve learnt a lot about the goings on in other non-league clubs for which I’m grateful It’s great hearing (and seeing) all of your experiences in non-league So with that in mind I’m at Brackley v Peterborough Sports tomorrow, anyone else got games planned? 3

I’m looking forward to a Saturday off. Coalville aren’t back in action until the 15th. 1

It'll be really weird having away days in Thringstone next season Nice one I'll get them followed Grace Dieu FC play at the old manor school now an academy. Be interesting to visit that one for sure! I've just looked at their current standings and they are top of the league beating everyone comfortably. I quite like the look of the new position for Coalville. Some more local derbys in the LE postcode. 1
Gary Eatfood Posted 8 February 2025 Posted 8 February 2025 Our first match highlights video in nearly a year. Good result on Tuesday for Coalville. A couple more wins and we'll be safe. 1
Seventyseven Posted 8 February 2025 Posted 8 February 2025 Superb afternoon down at Harborough Town. Somehow were 1 nil down at the break only to be reduced to 10 just after half time. continued to dominate and got an equaliser on 86 and a winner in the 14th min of injury time cue absolute scenes. Most of the added time was for the ref who spent 10 mins on the deck after his hamstring went. Get yourself down non league. 2 1

I feel the same, especially as the old character returns when you visit small clubs. Much of that character is lost in the mega echo bowls they have at big clubs. I watched a few mins on YouTube of away fans at Chorley buying potato pies in butter and then being given metal spoons to eat them with! I have to admit I’ll give those pies a miss! I was at Brackley today, a hard fought 1-0 win. Enjoyed it fully as always. Just popped 5 mins of Brighton FA Cup match on TV and was instantly bored by it. The atmosphere was atrocious. Just echo sounds as a few booed or sung a little. 2

Tuna Posted 9 February 2025 Author Posted 9 February 2025 Went to a very entertaining Grantham v Quorn, I was expecting a bit of a cricket score but it was pleasing to see a spirited performance to secure a just about right draw against the runaway leaders. Quorn appeared to be a bit sub par from all accounts and yesterday's result won't really change where each team will finish this season, but I have a bit more confidence GTFC's young team can put a bit of form together if they can repeat yesterday's performance. Highly unlikely finish out of the bottom 3, but try and finish as high as possible and see what happens at the end of the season! 4
Seventyseven Posted 9 February 2025 Posted 9 February 2025 https://harboroughtownfc.org/bienvenido-la-media-inglesa/ Quite random, but the business acumen of those running the club has been good to date. Must generate some interest with the twitter post announcing it getting over 3000 likes. Compare this with 248 likes for photos of yesterday’s win or under 100 for the winning goal. 1
Leicesterpool Posted 9 February 2025 Posted 9 February 2025 (edited) Ten points clear for Nuneaton Boro Town now, beat Bridgnorth 5-0 at home in front of 399. Wasn't particular great first half, Bridgnorth certainly created a few problems. Second half boro in far more in control. Big game at Coton Green midweek, get into 80 points and still only in february. So been a good start for the phoenix club so far. But can never take the foot off the gas in this league, Hinckley afc once got over 100 points in this league and still failed to get promoted. Edited 9 February 2025 by Leicesterpool 2

Leicesterpool Posted 12 February 2025 Posted 12 February 2025 Just come back from watching Nuneaton Boro Town away at Coton Green, record crowd i believe last home game they attracted just 25. Tonight over 200! Certainly helped a make a few extra coppers for coton. Massive win for Boro who secured a 2-0 victory, 13 points clear now! Very optimistic to say the title is all but ours cannot see us being caught even with heathers games in hand. 1
Daggers Posted 14 February 2025 Posted 14 February 2025 Kyle Storer and Sam McLintock in Luca Miller loaned out to St Ives for a month The side has really been crying out for a leader in the changing room, so I'm OK with Storer despite him clocking on a bit. McLintock is a cracking signing - I'm betting Rushall fans will be pissed off.

Given he was frozen out and this is his swansong as a player, I doubt he's commanding much. He's come because him and Lavs are mates, this is a stepping stone to coaching/managerial roles.
Finnaldo Posted 16 February 2025 Posted 16 February 2025 Ref collapsed at the Aylestone Park vs Hinckley game yesterday, apparently fine/better now and has contacted both clubs but the game was abandoned. Wasn’t there at the time, thought I’d have a few beers in town and the post-Leicester traffic did us in, shame as it would have likely been a good game.
Leicesterpool Posted 19 February 2025 Posted 19 February 2025 Interesting the amount of players leaving Telford four departed in just one week.
joeybside Posted 19 February 2025 Posted 19 February 2025 Quorn 3 - 0 Coleshill Bit late this from the weekend Bit of a nervy start from Quorn who struggled to find a rhythm maybe a little nervous after last weeks draw against Grantham. Alonzi being asked to play the hold-up role which wasn't really working and Captain Rico not getting on the ball a lot seemed to disjoint the Home Team. Coleshill quite quick on the break. First real change to the G.O.A.T in space brings the 1st. After that it was a case of if but when. Alonzi with a great finish under pressure then Billy Dee coming on causing issues leads to a penalty made by Rodgers/Dave. Gaffer finishing off in style. Back 4 solid despite missing two key starters. Burgess from Grace Dieu looks assured at Step 4 as was M.O.M Tetlow who went on to start for Hinckley AFC on the Monday. Good to see another 200+. Last season that's a 150 crowd so attendances up. Other results helping meaning 7 from 10 needed at a maximum starting with Bedworth on Saturday 1
Daggers Posted 22 February 2025 Posted 22 February 2025 Starting to feel grateful for the ailment that has kept me away from matches for the last month.

Terrible result. I'm sure their double goalscorer (Bruno A, sorry forgot the surname) played for Kettering this season? It seems we've totally gone off the rails here.
Leicesterpool Posted 23 February 2025 Posted 23 February 2025 Just five wins for Boro to gain promotion following a 6-2 home win over Sutton 'Coldfield' United. Attendance: 489. Really enjoying the football and the trips this season. Seeing plenty of goals for sure and being entertained... compared to what were seeing at KP 🙄 2
