v6rat Posted 31 May 2024 Posted 31 May 2024 (edited) Bit late to the party on this one, got me thinking, what's Ian Holloway up to these days? Dam it, I knew cider and thinking was never a great combination.. Edited 31 May 2024 by v6rat 1
Mengaman Posted 31 May 2024 Posted 31 May 2024 Ruud van who? Actually good shout cos he may get Vardy firing again or some other striker (remember it was him who formerly held the record for scoring in successive P L matches before Vardy did it)

Thanks, but the coefficients are only a measure of the top teams, which don't give any indication of the overall quality of the league. Isn't this why the EPL is usually stated as being the toughest- the "any team can be beat anybody" mantra.

It’s no coincidence the atmosphere at the KP (on the whole) has dropped dramatically in that time. Think the fan base need a reality check and stop being sheep to this silly trend of ‘the modern way’. The notion that the game has moved on is the biggest myth in football. There’s plenty of ways to win a football game. Always has been and always will be. Bring in Moyes or Pearson Either one would give us the best chance of staying up under the financial constraints and points deduction GWOOOOON BOOOOOOB PASHHHUUUUUUUUUN 1

Puel was just straight up awful. Underachieved under Rodgers - didn’t deserve to win the fa cup. Bottled champions league TWICE. And Maresca was indeed a miss. Wrong manager, wrong time. All three think that the team with the most possession wins the game. 1 9

Puel brought in some good players and built the foundations for Rodgers. Rodgers done ok in the first 2 seasons but they didn't sack him soon enough still won us an FA Cup so hardly a failure Enzo again got the job done and got us promoted. So that leaves Sousa and Sven I think the appointments have been spot on. 9

It’s not going to change anything. Plus, is it really a disaster? The way people talk, you’d expect us to walk out onto the pitch on the opening weekend in stained pants, dribbling not knowing what’s going on……….. As you, and many others have discussed, it’s legally going to be 8 points or less, and more than likely will happen in the winter. Plus if we comply with the regulatory committee, it’s could even be reduced…. So, as Everton, and the red broccoli willy pullers have already proven, you can survive it’s not the end of the world…. If Chris Wood can keep the brocolli wanders up, we can stay up. Edited 31 May 2024 by Pliskin
splinterdream Posted 31 May 2024 Posted 31 May 2024 If we're really going for the 'steady the ship', 'working on a shoe string' manager, where tactical knowledge is paramount, who is also avaliable, then you aren't getting better than rafa benitez, he'd also probably be willing to work with us in the championship. It's who I wanted after Rodgers and I.thought he'd be a good guy to have a word in Tops ear about how a football club should be run.

The foundations set by Puel, including some of the best players we've had for years and started the transition to away from the title winning tactics. Rodgers won the FA cup and two 5th places. That's incredible. He was shit for the final 18 Months and should have gone sooner...but let's not rewrite history. Enzo just got us promoted. Exactly what was asked if him. Honestly don't know how you have formed your opinion. 5
