do both, we need someone now and you can find a long term solution when the window opens

I think your idea of next up from the youth team is the better immediate solution.  I can't think of anyone worthwhile who is without a club currently.

Rotating midfielders up top is pointless.  If you're going to go with a midfielder, pick one and stick with her so she has a chance to learn the position a bit.

It was so bad I had to stop watching after we gifted them the 2nd goal.

Probably a lot of the same thoughts covered here since the game but hopefully worth a read. There isn’t a huge amount of coverage elsewhere.

It’s stark just how little interest there is in the women’s team from the wider fanbase though. Visits to our site are about 5-10% for any women’s coverage. Games and seasons like this can’t help. But there’s still something very likeable about this team. They seem to always give 100% even if ability lets them down a lot.

Honestly, I just think there is too much football these days. People are barely motivated for the men's first team, they just turn up out of habit or routine.

Yeah that’s a very fair point. Will be interesting to see if it ever has a real effect to the point where the authorities feel the need to do anything. Seen so many Leicester fans say they don’t watch Champions League football any more for instance.

It's a reflection of the wider interest in the club tbh. Like people have said, a huge amount of people are only going at the moment to keep or try to get a season ticket, in the vain hope that we somehow become the club we were between 2016-2022 again.

That factor isn't in play for the women's team, you can just turn up and pay and not worry if you don't go for the next 6 months, there will be 25,000 empty seats whenever you want to dip back in again.

It'd help if they had a genuine star to attract fans in, there is no in built loyalty to women's sides just because they have the same name

Exactly.

Unfortunately the club took an age to even get a manager, let alone a marquee signing but there was opportunities in the summer, Fran Kirby for example.

The way we are going we will be in the championship next season and we won’t attract a marquee player.

Surely we'll see some activity in the transfer window with all the injuries.

Wouldn’t bank on it, the club needs to wake up and realise the team are sleepwalking towards relegation. It was pretty much 6 in 6 out, no money spent in the summer, Kees and Mace improve the squad, Swaby, Ale and Chossenotte not good enough, Mouchon looked like she would be behind Petermann, and I wouldn’t trust Miquel.

Yep, all the signs of it, certainly going backwards and won’t look any better at Christmas.

Missy Goodwin called up to the u23s as well

Baffling, never seen a player lack so much confidence, has no impact on a game whether starting or sub. Need O’Brien back.

Poster girl. Just no confidence, gets so far then checks back.

Think the last goal in the WSL was Liverpool away over a year ago.

Players like Jessica Naz are miles ahead.

That Kees has really impressed me. She mopped up so many times against man u at the weekend and she has a great eye for a pass. She looked like a squad player signing but I can't see anyone dislodging her from the starting 11. I bloody hope we are at least looking to get attacking cover in. It would be bonkers if we still have the same squad after this transfer window.

League Cup game against Birmingham City on December 11th is being played at Meadow Lane in Notts…better than the usual cup games at Burton Albion

She’s done really well, great passing as you say, think her accuracy is really high.
Thought it was Swaby who was going to push Thibaud but she seems to be at the back of the queue.

Would like to see Nelly Las get a run, perfect opportunity with these league cup games coming up.

Not for me mate, Burton the same distance as Leicester for me, 7pm kick off means I’ll miss my first game this season, probably going to be a dead rubber mind.

Takarada as a striker again is painful. Thank god there’s no streams

BBC website has it 4231 with Cayman as the striker
