At long last we are finally getting our players back from injuries.  Hopefully we can now start to move up the league table after being near the bottom for so long.

C'mon ladies let's beat Man U

Missed watching the game today so can't comment on it, but 2-0 isn't a bad result for a United side that are having a really good season.

It's going to be a tough couple of weeks for us to get any results, we just have to look to bounce back against Brighton.

Don’t think they will ever be better than 9,10 or 11 but at the same time no risk of going down as who ever comes up will year on year.

That said did I hear that they are thinking about doing away with relegation from next season & if so will they extend the number of clubs in the league?

I believe the idea is that by removing the threat of relegation clubs will be more inclined to invest in their WSL sides.  I think it will have the opposite effect and remove any incentive to invest as the top 4 are likely to remain the same for years and if you can't be relegated why would you do more than the bare minimum?  The result will be even more meaningless games than we have now, and we have plenty already as the relegation spot is generally a foregone conclusion.  It would also kill off investment below the WSL if there is no possibility of reaching it.

It's a terrible idea.  The league should be extended to 16 teams as 22 matches is too few, and there should be more promotion/relegation places.  There doesn't seem to be any suggestion of expanding the league currently.

Pretty sure I heard they were planning to removing the relegation spots temporarily as they want to increase the size of the league.

I was getting my information from Sky Sports News.  Rookie error, should have done my own research!  It seems there are various options still being discussed and SSN went down the clickbait route by picking out one aspect and not supplying context.

Even if they do choose to expand the divisions, I still think removing relegation would be the wrong way to go about it.  There has to be some jeopardy or large chunks of the season will be pointless.

Would be better off just promoting more teams for one season but still have the 1 relegation spot

Depend how many teams you want to extend it by.

I’d also be keen to see a rule that says at least 3 homegrown in the matchday squad and a spending cap, Chelsea are buying the league.
Totally agree no relegation reduces games to meaningless friendly style matches, it needs to be 1 down 3 up or 2 down and 4 up for a couple of seasons.
