Gave the ball away alot though which in the Prem is key, inlcuding a very poor flick when they broke and Faes had to scythe someone down to prevent them being in on the near post. 

Can't fault the effort levels but technically I still think he's someway short.

Encouraging second half. Looks like there is some fight in this squad which is refreshing. Hopefully try and get a few quality additions over the line in forward areas in particular.

 

soumare must of ran to the KP pre game by his energy levels 😂.

 

On a a side not Kristiansen grew into the game and looked well up for it. Decent deliveries into the box too. 

buonanotte, Kasey, Fatawu were brilliant. Mads improved as the game went on

Yes best thing about that performance was the fight and spirit in the 2nd half.

Winning some 1:1. 

Everything we lacked the year we went down. 

Hopefully a better group of characters.

Forgot to say hope Bentancur is okay. Was very worried when you see players call for the medical team urgently. 

 

Was he conscious as he went off the pitch?

Having seen Vardy's post match interview, he was asked what his injury was and basically said a villareal player was to blame. When are we going to stop playing pre-season friendlies against those animals??

Ange Postecoglu said after the game that he was talking to the medical staff.

 

I saw it happen live, looked like he was out before he hit the deck and it looked like he faceplanted the grass. Really nasty one. Just from a clash of heads by the looks of it.
