Trust Co-Chair, Lynn Wyeth, talked to the Leicester Til I Die podcast last night about some of the current work of the Trust. Topics covered also included:

  • Protests and Project Reset
  • Having a voice at the table
  • Relationships with the club
  • Challenges of representing all fans
  • The Women’s Game

Firstly well done for talking publicly.

Huge red flag here with “We’re not at the stage where we need throw bricks yet”. Interested to know just what this club has to do for The Trust to get to that stage? It literally hasn’t been this bad off the pitch for your members for years and on the pitch…er ever!

Please stop the “at the table” nonsense also. It’s the Trusts “Foxes Never Quit”.

We all know the conversation is at another table at they’re all whispering!

Ryan, I appreciate you didn’t have a great time offering your experience to the Trust. I get it, and I can emphasise to a large extent.

But you have to ask when your personal experience is preventing you from doing anything other than throw shade?

I’m sure from your involvement, you know that Lynn is one of the board members that is more than happy to call the club a spade when they’re falling short. She’s also the one on the board who was taking time to go along to the Union FS night last year and has been very open and welcoming (almost to the point of pleading at times!) for more people to join and help the Trust.

If you’ve watched the whole video then I’m sure you also heard her talk about being one of the three board members who attended the Project Reset protest march. Being one of the Trust Chairs meeting Susan Whelan and attending a march that the club would have hated should tell you enough about the balance she’s trying to strike being in the room but also saying when things aren’t good enough. It’s delicate to say the least.

In the past week we’ve had two steps in the right direction (albeit baby steps, I appreciate):

- The Trust giving completely transparency in the form of an Open Letter calling on the club to freeze or reduce ticket prices (dependent upon what league we’re in)

- One of the Chairs going on a Leicester fan channel to talk about what the Trust is and why it has an important role (also acknowledging its far from perfect)

In both instances you’ve thrown cursory acknowledgement of each step and then gone on to hammer the Trust. I appreciate you’ve been supportive of us new board members (that’s appreciated) but I think your frustrations are preventing you seeing any potential for change.

I know we have to win people like you over (for what it’s worth I think it’s a shame not having you more involved), but give us a chance mate! It’ll take time.

Eh up

I would hope the Trust see it as free friendly advice, guidance maybe(?). I've only ever spoken facts TBH and in the last post with the letter, I was answering a question for my point of view which I'm always happy to give. Also saying how I'd play it from the clubs perspective based on experience, which I would've thought was quite useful feedback? I'm not sure what parts of that the trust didn't like or felt were unfair?

It's a weird one really as the trust seem more than happy to call me, email me and WhatsApp me to try and silence me, but they don't come back to me when I ask questions and don't like it when I give a point of view that is honest and observant and possibly not favourable? I'm not sure what is expected?

I totally appreciate it will take time to make any real difference (if at all with the FE Framework / FAB that now trumps all fan group voices) , or for Bason, Digby and the other dead wood to walk away of course.

None of it is personal I promise. I'm also happy to be proved wrong in any of my views.

Ian is aware I have sent the below email but nobody has acknowledged it. I sent the original 2 weeks ago and chased it on Thursday.

It's probably a really good chance for some Trust transparency and to silence any critics maybe?

As a member can you please tell me where I can find anything tangible against all of the "aims" listed on your website?

I'm looking for a breakdown of each "aim" and the progression made on each of them over the last 24, 18, 12 and 6 months. I am assuming this information / kind of report is easily available, I just can't seem to find it?

I'd also be interested to see how each of the board members individually has influenced those changes and what they bring to the trust. As you know, I am not confident that the current board (Steve and newbies aside) have the interest of the wider fan base to mind when it comes to their board roles so I'm looking forward to receiving your confident reassurances by return email.

Up the city

I'm sorry, but the host of the Leicester Til I Die? I don't even know this guy and what little I've heard from him is nonsense. You’d be better off talking to Blue Tinted Glasses or BSLB they have a larger following, are more credible, and speak for the majority of fans.

Appreciate you were asked your perspective on the letter. Hopefully you can see though that your opinion holds a bit more weight across the fan base due to your background.

That’s why I’m asking you to try and at least see and acknowledge some of the steps in the right direction! And also why I think the Trust would be stronger with this kind of energy on the inside.

What you describe in terms of the challenges you’ve had are good examples of a Communications approach that needed (and still needs) work. Two (baby) steps in the right direction on that in the past week IMO.

What’s to say someone from the Trust couldn’t go on all of them? I guess an invitation might help with that.

But, surely as the largest Leicester fan supporters trust, it would be their priority to ensure the trust is heard from by as many fans as possible rather than simply waiting to be asked to speak?

Yes, fair. But I’m not sure finding fault in the first channel someone from the board goes on is worthwhile!

Trust board members been on BSLB recently.  In fact I can vouch as much that at the Trust AGM, someone came up to me and said that he’d joined off the back of my nonsense on the pod

The Leicester pubcast  is the best out the lot but Leicester fan tv is fine Phil Jamie Reedy all good guys who attend matches. The BTG lot are just trying to make a few quid with no knowledge  of the game whatsoever esp we have a top 12 squad Manny and not one of them attends matches

LFTV buy fake subs and views to try and keep up with BTG. More than half of their subscribers are artificially paid for. Thats for sure

What are your thoughts about Tom switching sides? I’ve heard others may follow. Unsurprising since LFTV struggle to construct a sentence!

You should check out the BTG guy on here who does all the analysis after a game. quite clearly knows what he is talking about.... Phil 'reeeady', nick and jamie are just uneducated moaners. same as ltid. bslb and btg seem to be the most knowledgable

Didn’t Phil want Enzo out and Cooper to stay? He’s embarrassing. Jamie nearly as bad, but it’s tough to say who worse, as Jamie can’t speak English.

Never heard Phil call for any manager to get sacked and Jamie is from Leicester course he can't speak English and I include myself in that .Don't get too many sounding like Leslie Phillips or Donald Sinden in the East Midlands

You mean Anil who hasn't attended a single match in years and reckons Skipp  struggled in the PL when playing for Norwich even though he only played for them in the championship.Don't disagree with you about Nick Tom is also clueless who can forget him.asking Russell Osman what was  Gary Mills like as Leicester manager😀😀😀
