tell you what i am enjoying the most about these favourites getting beat are these so called tiktok tipsters finally being shown for knowing nothing about racing. Whacking £'s on favourites for likes and now losing a lot.

I don't believe the majority of bets are even really as i definitely don't trust the guys at Star Sports as that's where they started to!

Hopefully people will now stop paying the £100+ a month for their 'tips'

Totally agree.

I managed to get a free trial of one of these paid tipsters and am in the discord for the week. Certainly even more so clarified my position on paying for tips. You’re just paying someone to listen to their opinion.

its ridiculous isn't it. Seen one charging 180 quid a month! for them to back the favourites! tipping all 28 races too. Any one that has real insight does not have it on every race. Like the old saying throw enough shit something will stick.

Yeah mate it’s mental. The bloke who’s discord I’m in had doddiethegreat today but everything else missed. I’ve been following him for a while and always seems to have a lot of winners and he does seem a very genuine bloke, doesn’t often tip up shorties.

That's obviously solid knowledge and if you put the effort in you can find value.

But yeah sticking 20k on a 4/6 favourite and celebrating like your in the know is scary as these guys have 300k followers that even if 10% pay for his service he is rolling in it.

I think that ProSportsAdvice lad has like 20,000 subs at £20 a month. Which is staggering. The cynic in me thinks a lot of them are paid by bookies and these big bets they put on are the bookies money.

He the Irish lad that comes in on a helicopter? If so then year I don't trust anything anyone puts on with StarSports they are dodgy as they come.

I don't mind the racing blogger as least he seems to care about the horses and does show his loses too.

Yeah it is.

Blogger had a lot to do with star sports and I read a while back that priced up are somehow connected. He’s good value though the blogger especially when he’s backed a shortie that’s lost. And like you say, cares for the horses, clued up about the game.

I've seen these too.

They show off their 'wealth' which in reality is not from bets, but from the many mugs that subscribe to them monthly.

Priced up and Star Sports are owned by the same people. They are all dodgy AF to be fair.

But yeah he is good for the sport, it needs people like him really.

My picks for today

13:20 East India Dock

14:00 Mclaurey (e/w)

14:40 Dinoblue

15:20 Jet Blue

16:00 Galopin Des Champs

16:40 Fairly Famous (e/w)

17:20 Kopeck De Mee

I also noticed that Rachel Blackmore is riding two of Willy Mullins horses today as well as one for De Bromhead, all at decent prices, so I've had them all in an e/w treble.

Gone for East India Dock in a William Hill price boost.

Betting on favourites hasn't been too good this festival but genuinely dont see anything beating it.

Galopin Des Champs losing in the 4pm would just sum up this year's festival!

Worst thing about that result is that in recent years skybet often did money back on first race up to £10 and you'd lob it on some long odds 'no hoper'. Would have been plenty winning a grand off that

I’ve never seen anything like it. Don’t think there’s ever been a festival where so many “good things” have been beaten. Just GDC to get turned over now lol

Didn't win, obviously but that's what makes horse racing interesting to me lol Boring if the favourites win all the time

Cant imagine the money being lost this festival.

Its one thing the likes of me and other chucking a cheeky few quid on the horses, but some people will be chucking silly money on some of the favourites that have lost.

More fall them, but still, there's going to be angry other halves lol
