Really got back up to speed at this level again. He's got to keep applying the pressure and whilst our strikers continue to provide very little in terms of goals will put heat on Cifuentes to make some brave decisions.

I’ve been paying attention to the academy since around 2017 and the amount of times we’ve bottled leads over the years is remarkable

The fact he can never make it through a game is probably holding him back.

Don't think his body is particularly fragile, just that there's been quite a few tackles on him so far this season that could have had him out for weeks or months. Not much he can do when the opposition are hacking him down out of frustration every game and the refs arent protecting him.

 

I actually think he would be safer in the men's game, the refs are more willing to give out cards and stop silly challenges from happening.

Are the opponents more experienced ?

I’ve no idea if we’re more prone than other academies to losing decent leads.

 

Maybe it’s just a ‘kids’ football thing  ( mind you, our first team have done it before too!)
