We've had very decent loan players since.  Youri, Lookman, Fatawu, Yunus, Buonanotte.  We've just not made best use of some of them.

Can't help but think not getting Lookman was a real watershed moment. Good point you make looking at that list. Buonanotte should have been used far more as should Stephy last season. We could have been a a threat going forward and at least we would have had goals in us.

Again, cant understand not signing Yunus, he looked superb when he came on, for the money it seemed like a no brainer for me

I’m hoping that M.C. has a list of loans or free transfers he would like to recruit.

If so, how many more players need to go to create a space in the squad?

Unless there’s another reason for no movement on this front.

Had some absolute dreadful loans too. Off the top of my head....Lingard, McGivern, Nick Powell....

Clubs want decent loan fees or deals where majority of wages are covered

Is this the case with youngsters though? I don’t know so not saying you’re wrong, just wondering.

 

I get if you’re loaning a senior player out, you want their fee amortisation covering and wages. 
 

Cor a youngster, say Collyer as I said this in another thread earlier about him going to West Brom, it’s mutually beneficial and they aren’t loaning him to save money but to get him experience. Wages also wouldn’t be too high you wouldn’t think.

 

If we can’t afford this what hope is there?

Whilst we have so many players still not gone, we can’t offer playing time either.

We need some experience in the squad though. That will be out of our budget I reckon.

George Earthy played an entire season for a Bristol team that made the play offs, I doubt he'll be getting much playing time at West Ham, I'd also chance my arm at Lewis Miley at Newcastle, particularly as they've now signed Ramsey, put's him 5th/6th in the pecking order for CM.

 

There also must be some good players around the continent who are looking for first team chances and you'd think clubs would be happy to send them to our training facilities!

Quite suprised we have no loan players coming in, maybe we have but they have not been announced yet?

 

Would be crazy to not use up our quota to freshen up the squad at a relatively low cost and little impact to PSR.
