Hmmmm...

This is why it makes no sense not opening it up early.

Whether the other block sells out or not, they would have their tickets in there anyway... so just open it up from the start. It'll be the same for the other block too.

I knew demand would be lower this season but the fact we haven't even sold 2 blocks yet for the first league away game on a saturday 3pm is crazy. Was hoping we'd sell the whole stand like last time

Don’t mean to be negative although it may come across that way, but even if the whole stand was sold, the atmosphere, the experience and the vibe would be be nowhere near what that night was. Not very often you see them win the league in front of nearly 6k which was the perfect ending. But how the club is now, it will be a dire atmosphere until they pick up a few wins

That's true, nothing will beat that night. But would be nice to make use of the big allocation as they don't come around too often

I have to say I'm surprised.  We're in the all STH category, and didn't think we'd have a chance with this game, so a friend of mine who has a box gave me his allocation.  Gutted I didn't hold on now, because we could have got the points.

Yes, it was the same for the 3rd block, with a fair few already greyed out.
So the club were never going to return any of the blocks to Preston. Maybe there is a reason, but puzzling really they didn’t open all of them initially then, to save a fair few people lots of wasted time continually checking over a few days and ending up with OCD.
I know it’s only a very minor thing, but just another annoyance on top of many others which harm connection between club and fans.

Seems our support (and club) has dropped off a cliff.

Or to be precise, our "Season Ticket holders and Members only" support has dropped off a cliff.

Maybe if the Club went back to allowing any of the the 1 million+ population of the City and County to attend away matches, it might help.

But, of course, no.   It has to be the closed shop 30,000 or so ST/Members.   Why might you want to try and encourage anyone else to get interested in supporting the City?

How ever did we sink this low, to have so many imbeciles running our club ......................................

The only reason they won't put it to general sale so they say is to keep track of who is buying them but surely why can't they sell to people with a booking history as they have these people's details, it comes down to let's rip people off and sell them a membership

Exactly.   Even for "General Sale" they have your name, address, phone number, Email, DOB.     What more do they want?   Fingerprints?  Sperm sample?

True.

On the one hand - a one-off £35 for the club.

On the other hand - getting a new fan interested in the City?  Possible extra home games?  Maybe a season ticket £500+ ?

Hmm, now let me think ...................

This is one of the few games I can actually get to and they want a membership fee, more than doubling the cost?

A membership I probably won't use again.

Yeah, right.     Idiots.

To add to the conversation about the no general sale policy, it's always worth keeping this in mind when it comes to away day sales, as it cuts out a proportion of the fanbase. The vast majority of games over the years haven't reached the level of general sale or booking history, but to not offer the option of either for select fixtures is just nonsensical.

Most clubs do not close off sales of extra tickets to their own supporters, and that's what makes the policy all the more disappointing. The club's viewpoint seems to be that general sale/booking history brings about more trouble, but that argument has conveniently gone away for home matches, albeit with pressure from the Foxes Trust and Union FS.
