Shocking we’re back to 2012 numbers, I understand we’re no Leeds but I’m surprised how quick the support has dropped off

Could be that we have 3 away games in a week, Charlton sold out, I will be at Huddersfield & Charlton but not Preston. And has been said before the club refusing to sell to people with a booking history doesn't help

Didn't expect an away game to go to members so didn't bother renewing. Wanted to go with my 2 kids. Anyone know if there are still groups of 3 available together.. if so ill renew and book

As I'm local, I'm debating becoming an member and getting a ticket but don't want to give the club exactly what they want for what would most likely be my only away game of the season.

Any chance they make it general sale right at the last minute?

It's theoretically possible, but highly unlikely.

But I would drop them an Email, explaining why it's unrealistic to expect someone who lives a long way from Leicester to fork out £35 for the "privilege" of using it once.   And that all they are doing is depriving the team of support at matches.      It won't make any difference, but I always feel it's our duty to point out their stupidity.

Think a lot of people don't want to spoil the memories of the last Preston away end.

Absolutely no chance they will do general sale for away games. They are totally against it due to concerns about “trouble”. In reality, they want you to buy a membership.

If we lose Bilal before Saturday then what do we do for creativity in that number 10 area he won’t start monga in that position eill he go page there. It’s a worry as we need that playmaker to get assists and the odd goal

Anyone know of any good beer garden pubs in Preston seeing as the weather is supposed to be nice? Doesn’t seem many big ones on Google!

Not near the ground but The Continental is great. Judging from stickers in the bogs it's popular with away fans too.

Outside of last season, we’ve never taken the bigger numbers to Deepdale. Back under Pearson needing a win to secure playoffs, we took a similar amount has this game.

That's true.   We took about 2600 in 2010 when we won 1-0 to secure a playoff place.   I can't remember, but I would've thought that was maybe the full allocation we were given.

Talking about quality rather than quantity, 3 years previously in 2007, we had a vital game at Preston near the end of the season, where we needed points to avoid relegation.

(bear in mind, at that point we'd never been out the top 2 divisions).

I thought we'd have a massive following up there, but we only took about 1300.   But apart from the usual suspects who just sat there in silence, most that day really gave it everything.   It was passionate support, and when Johansson scored an injury time goal in front of us to win it 1-0, and in a split second just about make us safe from relegation, **** me the atmosphere was something special.   We went absolutely mental, like Claridge scoring at Wembley 1996.  Just 1000 of us instead of 40,000)

I was there on a Tuesday night in 2008 when there were 526 of us.

There were about 100 miniatures behind the bar which still got necked though.

It was 1-1 and the atmosphere then was pretty good for such a low number of fans.

If you're in Preston on a Tuesday night in November following a terrible team then you really want to be there for some weird reason rather than these coach 1'ers who are there through routine and for a day out.

That's a great shout. Good outside space and ale selection.

I'm there on the Friday night for Prolapse gig.

(But as VB mentions - opposite side of town to Deepdale)

I'm also disappointed in the numbers for this one and expected better, but at the same time there are mitigating factors. This away game is the first of three within a week, and the club continually refuse to sell tickets to fans without a season ticket or membership. For every season that comes along, there are a select number of away matches where more tickets could be available to the wider fanbase. Unfortunately, the club's current policy doesn't allow this to happen, and it's very unjust.

Yep, I was there as well for that game.

At around the same time, we had a League Cup game there where there was about the same 500-ish crowd.   But we lost that 2-1.

I can't honestly remember much about either game ... except for the fact that there weren't many of us there!

We were living up in the general NW area at the time, and I think there were a couple of night matches away at Burnley I remember going to.   Probably the same 500-ish sort of away support.   in fact, one of them we had about 330 away fans there.   A totally unmemorable 1-1 draw.

I'm only really going for a drink in the Station Hotel and The Black Horse. The latter is possibly my favourite pub in the whole country

North of Manchester and Liverpool, we never travelled well historically outside of the occasional trip to Blackburn (boom period withstanding). Newcastle excepted too.

Yes always travelled well to London but you're right - even Sunderland not so well or Boro.

Only an hour's drive for me and turns out I've got no plans. I'd go along, but the idea of paying for a membership I'm unlikely to need more than a couple of times, if at all, is stopping me buying a ticket.
