The accounts have been shared with members in advance of the AGM via e-mail, but will not be made public until ratified at the AGM, then they will be uploaded to the website

Just had a quick look at last years accounts - what is the plan with the £40K in the bank? You've effectively got 20 years cost coverage even without a single membership renewed. Credit card charges also make up 9% of your total cost base, in any other business or charity that's wild. It also offsets making any money on interest - and you aren't going to get much interest on £40K anyhow.

My view is there isnt any need to carry a massive surplus - can't some be distributed to good causes, or something in the community, welcome to ideas.

I have a wild idea why not have face to face events and consult the members, discuss paths forward, build a supporting community, give people reasons to join like  other trusts do. I I do not mean the borefest of the AGM.

Already on it Global.

But it’s been hard to do it from a standing stop, especially when the views on the trust / fan groups are one of great mistrust and almost anger towards them and other factors.

Im sure we were at the same FCC together and I’ve been talking to Alli from LCFC in the community ever since then. I’m there next week as we are nearly ready to go on a community project.

I’ve wanted to do a Town Hall project with an open forum (but closed debate - cos the way people are with each other at the moment).

I’ve wanted to have us in the Fanzone to bring gets discussion going but the club haven’t been as responsive as I’d hoped. So we are onto Plan B with that

There will be a treasurers report on the accounts at the AGM which will cover explanations of any significant changes year on year and the approach taken previously in regards to retaining funds for information for newer members

Totally onboard let’s push the presence at the fa zone at next weeks FCC I have supported this. I have been doing independent sessions  with up to 50 attendees to generate feedback and been working issues with the club. I am discussing a list of supporter issues with the club before the FCC meeting starts.

The Trust election closes at 5pm tomorrow so get your votes in before then if you haven't already done so!

We're supporting Chris Rice, Jack Munton, Steve Potter and Andrew Smith.

We also encourage all Foxes Trust Reform supporters to attend the AGM on Monday 26th January (7:30pm) either in-person at King Power Stadium or online. As members, this will be your opportunity to ask questions of the legacy Trust board and provide your feedback on the past 12 months and recent events (including Ian Bason's campaigning during the election period on Blue Tinted Glasses). The results of the election will be announced on the night.

From your email received today:

"The ruling that he( Bason -my addition) did not break rules failed to provide concrete justification/evidence as to why not and included largely irrelevant justifications for the ruling."

So, are us ordinary members allowed to see this ruling? And secondly, how do we know the justifications are not concrete?

"We were also led to believe that the FSA had provided an opinion on the specific case but have since verified they did not."

So whoever told you that the FSA had provided an opinion has lied? Who was the person that lied please?

TIA

What? The email I had specifically said that the FSA had been consulted and supported the election board's decision. Is that no the case?

Another absolute scandal if so.

That's exactly what I thought, and why I've asked the question.

FSA confirmed that they were consulted.

Great. But did they offer an opinion?;.and what was it? .. and what points in the opinion are deemed not to be concrete or are irrelevant to the complaint?

Without the complaint made, the consultation/opinion provided and then the objections to the provided opinion, we have no clue what's actually being said.

Someone needs to start providing receipts.

Ian Bason and Alan Digby have no authority and should be removed from their posts immediately.

Ok. But can we see the proof of why they need to go please. Otherwise, we're just a lynch mob.

It feels as if some posters in this thread have more information than has been publicly released and are making statements based on that information whilst forgetting that the vast majority of us do not have that information.

Don't be like the club, don't be like the current FT board, show us that you're the better option and provide the receipts and let us judge for ourselves

An important bit of context to this as well, it's normal practise to share within the Trust's comms working group any upcoming interviews or media engagements. This gives the group the chance to speak up on what topics and lines to communicate or discuss. Ian didn't inform anybody that he was doing this interview.

https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/138309-foxes-trust-reform-the-final-step/page/4/#findComment-7971928  for context.

Did anyone from the FT Board ask him why he did not go through the normal process?

If someone did ask him, what was Bason's response please?

Wouldn't call it a lynch mob. People who have dealt with the trust for years know the dead weight or the roadblocks and have their opinions on them.

The "receipts" as you mention may still have wheels in motion somewhere. Probably not the best idea to get into a tit for tat argument in public either. People have a problem with Bason and what happened on that podcast, it makes sense to say "we have put a complaint in" and then the response. I didnt complain, but from what I have read here a reply was made, but there is more to it than that and something is going on behind the scenes. FTR must be the validity of the response and from the email they seem to want a few questions answered, like the FSA thing. There was an election going on and a group of people were complaining someone may have broken the rules. The best thing to do by the complainer is make sure they cant be nailed for the same sort of thing.

Maybe now the election has concluded, the gloves may come off on both sides.
