It's as if they insist on some form of Americanisation each time :sweating: had no idea what broccoli rabe was.

I googled it tbf and it’s an Italian dish. It’s also pronounced “Rab”

 

which is a Scottish nickname, as in Rab Douglas.

so I don’t think it’s Americanised, it’s just obscure.

It's an American term. I've heard of rapini before, but had no clue this was the US English term for it. Would never have guessed the pronunciation of it either. Furthermore, if it wasn't for my footballing knowledge I wouldn't have been able to guess the link either. 

I'll stop being a sore loser now lol
