Not sure anyone needed that to be explained. The majority of Americans are not happy at all with what has been conducted in our name.

The whining on this thread is still hilarious, we’re talking about our football team, not Trump’s cabinet. And this is all while the England supporters who made the trip over are having a great time in the host cities and will have plenty of fun with the locals.

I know what you mean, man. It's not great how it's bled over into everything, football included, but that sadly is where we are.

I do hope as many fans of all nations have a good a time as possible over there.

It's sad for starters that people can't separate football and politics. But it's even sadder when those people come from a place that elected Boris Johnson and if given the chance today would probably elect Nigel Farage to be their leader.

Souttar is so much better than any centre half of ours it's unbelievable. How has he had this little of a look in? I know he's had injuries but he could definitely have played more.

Totally concede that they might lose this and make me look silly but Australia just never give a bad account of themselves in a World Cup. They're a proper banana skin of a team to play.

Always feel we are (pre 2023-) very "Leicesterish"

Before his injury playing for Sheffield Utd, yes he could have played more for us.  Post injury I don't know how anybody could come to that conclusion.

45 minutes of panicked hoofball now :) :sweating:

If you keep forcing Turkey wide you should be able to deal with anything they throw at you.  Then big Soutts wins it from a corner, game done.

So sad to know Souttar is going to get back from this World Cup adventure to find Russell Martin waiting for him. No way in a million years he'll stick around with that BTEC Rodgers chancer in charge.

I don't think he'll stick around no matter who is in charge.  Nobody wants to play in League One, regardless of the manager.

Though right now Aus are playing a little suicide football out from the back, so Martin might already have planted a seed!

Not going to win any beauty contests but Australia is doing ugly about as well it can be done. No possession but they don't look under much pressure. Not being broken down, and clinical when getting a rare chance to counter.
