Figured I'd put a thread for this up since I did end up buying it and yes, I hate myself for that  

 

There's no 'Clubs' in the old gen version, but I realized I hardly touched that anyway with the last game.

 

So, just playing FUT, as always. The beginning of it always was the best part for me. Just happy when you get a decent player to improve your squad.

 

Best player for me so far has been Elliot Anderson. Anthony Gordon has played better than his 82 rating would suggest.

 

Best pull, which I just got is Russo, with an 88 rating. Seems very good.

 

Doing Evo's, objectives and playing squad battles. Only online I do is 'Rush', which mostly I enjoy.

 

Haven't fully grasped the 'Gallery' yet, but I wouldn't mind that McGeady that you can get from it 

 

Based on how this game has gone here over the years, this probably won't even get past the first page

I begrudgingly got the game with gameshare with a mate. Would have happily not played it this year but here we are lol.

 

The gallery feature is a nice touch this year as it adds a different dimension to it. The gameplay is as frustrating as ever, so i tend to stick to 2 v 2 rivals. Sitting on about 250k coins after a bit of trading/decent pulls.

I have started giving ultimate team a go wit the trial to see how  get in but I can’t log into my app and I’m it sure if it’s because I originally logged into the PlayStation but the trial is on Xbox so messed it up a bit

I know it's not quite as big a deal as it used to be, but I was still pretty happy when I saw CAM...Argentina...MLS and Inter Miami, from a 2×82 pack

Just happened to be looking through my club and I saw that for some unknown reason 86 rated keeper Joan Garcia goes for 40K. 

 

So, goodbye to you Joan Garcia!

Whats his rating in this game? Ive not brought the game but have been tempted a couple of times. Started Witcher 3 re mastered which will see me through until GTA.

He actually went up from 86 last year to an 89 in this game.

I like to do theme team, doing Brazil players only for my mine team this year.

 

So loving the Gallery feature and have Hulk and Pato, saving for David Luiz.

 

Defending is hard work this year.

As much as I thought the 'Gallery' looked nice, it'll be quite some time before I can get to 300/500 tokens and those cards that you can get won't look nearly as attractive.

Getting some decent players from the repeatable gold re-roll SBC. Also helpful towards the Gallery.

Never played any othese FC games, and I'm not about to start - especially after seeing the Steam reviews  (Though also because it's an EA game, and my account got hacked and stolen, (mainly used for Star Wars Galaxy Of Heroes)  )

Elliot Anderson OTW is ridiculously good on here. Just completed the Season Pass. 

 

Torres goes to a 86 if PSG win this weekend with him getting POTM need a MOTM person for him for an 87 and theres one more upgraded he could get. Decided against getting Youri and chose the packs. Sitting on about 750k currently. Undecided if to do Olise or not but this new SBC method is actually terrible.

We are looking at an 87 rated Elliot Anderson by the next Wednesday. He needs Player of The Month for the final upgrade of an 88. Believe upgrades stop after that though compared to previous OTW.

 

Edit: Man of the Match, Team of the Week and Player of the Month are all repeatable until the end of the game.

I use so many different squads and variations, it's really hard to say at this point 

 

Only thing for certain, on my main team the midfield has Patri, Anderson and Vitinha.

 

Vicky Lopez(I know she's the 'meta', but I don't care!), Gordon, Adeyemi, Russo are my attacking options. Working toward the Ferran card at level 30.

 

Messi is always an option off the bench. No way I can get to fit in.

 

The back is a bit of a hodge podge with just whoever helps with chem. 

 

I'm not using any of the apps, so can't post a screenie.

Sounds like you are doing pretty decent and enjoying it. Gutted I can’t get into the app just for the sbcs just to build a decent team. Did some squad battles on the trial and defending was pretty hard but I have  struggled with it the last few years. Hoping it comes out on the game pass over the Xmas period maybe try clubs or career mode out for a bit
