Will we be going full strength or utilising the broader squad? I don’t mind the logic of resting some and giving others minutes but it just rarely gels and looks like a team of players who have never met each other (the game vs Fulham schoolboys / crèche XI excepted). As opposed to the completely gelled fluent footballing masterclass of our regular first team :P

Genuinely what do we think the possession stats for this game could be. I think 80/20 is on the cards.

Good call.  20 shots 3 on target if we are lucky

Oxford (United) fan in peace. Oxford City are having a good season bit really if your coach/manager fella picks his strongest side you shouldn’t have any problems beating them. The pitch is 3G artificial grass not one of those old QPR/ Luton jobs so your players shouldn’t have much issue there tbh. If you’re driving get there as early as you can, parking can be a pain around there. The home tickets sold out in milliseconds so chances of any/many of yours in their ends are small. I genuinely hope you do well against them, too big a club to be where you are. All the best!

Last season National League North mid-table Macclesfield beat cup holders Crystal Palace 2-1 on an artificial surface.

If Leicester take it seriously they should win by a wide margin. If they don't, then Oxford City have some decent players who could cause an embarrassment eg Scott Pollock and Ludwig Francillette should be playing at a much higher level . However, Oxford City will have to play better than today where two defensive mistakes gifted goals to South Shields, who went on to win 3-1 and replace Oxford City at the top of NLN

I don't think parking will be a particular problem as there is a field opposite the ground which I expect will be used (as it has previously when high attendances expected).

I agree - Pollock in particular is direct and fast. Oxford should try to exploit City's weaknesses at full back (as Oxford United did at KP). On the other hand, pace and quick passing will pose great difficulty for Oxford.

They're shameless though. I don't think they'll be that arsed. They're all in their own little backslapping bubble.

I'd throw league games to get Martin out in the short term but be arsed losing to Oxford City.

The words ‘yeah but we need to concentrate on the league’ are already pre typed out
