Bit tongue in cheek and no offence meant to all the Ladies out there, but can one of you please tell me when being pregnant became an illness?

Three of my staff are now pregnant and two of them have gone straight on the Bloody sick, they're only 6 weeks gone.

It's spongers like them responsible for the male/female imbalance in the workplace.

I mean how can you blame employers for not employing women.

I will certainly take this into account in future

Because you throw up most of the time at that stage(or feel sick) and it makes you feel like shit generally. After 3 months or so things start to look up and you actually look pregnant instead of looking fat! Cut them some slack, its a difficult time the first few months.

She seemed fine on her Mobile Phone when she was parking her car.

I'd guess there was a greater to her unborn baby when she was driving whilst on the phone

If I see anyone else doing that on the A19 in the mornings, I'll........

I get points for doing 34mph in the middle of nowhere - and those friggers weave all over the road like they own it.

It should be punishable by insertion of Nokia up rectum.......HANDS FREE!

Quite fancy nine months off work paid.

And now compare this to having to bear with kids for the rest of your life.

Sure, they all look cute and smell cute and poop cute, but wait once they've gotten a bit older, you'll wish they would have never been born.

But to be honest, I like kids. They're fun.

You can get arrested for saying that nowadays in this Country

Pregnancy is something I will never go through, however I challenge any man to survive a good dose of 'womens problems'. You'd soon shut up.

But my original question still hasn't been answered when did it become an illness?

I mean we all know about Morning Sickness but being pregnant shouldn't mean you can pull the wool over your employers eyes and sit on yer arse all day on sickness benefits, then go on maternity leave for six months.

I've seen both ends of the spectrum, one of my employees worked up until the day she had her baby, had her maternity and returned to work just before xmas but she is an exception to the rule.

You have to feel for pregnant women they must and its seems they go through a lot of pain (don't crucify me for that comment!!) but the ultimate unanswerable question is What Hurts More?? Being Kicked In The Balls OR Giving Birth??

How about all the people that take monday morning off with a hangover. Or what about some of the people the that used to work for me they assumed that because they were allowed to have 16 days a year self certified sickness, they could take it off whether they were ill or not. Let's face it every 'group' of people has good ones and bad ones in it.

Morning sickness pal! Mind you I sympathise and times certainly change. I think my wife worked almost through her time and certainly played tennis until she was over seven months gone. Some people play the system to perfection I guess. It probably explains why you get so many voice messages whenever you ring businesses now. They've responded to oppressive employment laws by putting in machines. Life gets ever more frustrating - which is a sure sign that I am getting old.

I'd say giving birth because it lasts so long. But if you were to be kicked in the balls constantly for about 10 hours then i'd say that would hurt more.
