I just saw on an earlier post-Mark de Vries- Going Nowhere.

This reminded me of the song by Therapy.

So what other records can you think of that sum up our players?

One which definitely doesn't sum up the whole squad is "Hard to Beat"

Tainted Love for Alan Maybury after Levein got angry with him for his sending off earlier in the season. They are a 'happy couple' now though, everythings been resolved.

You could say the same for Nil Eric Johansson

So that would be Happy Loving Couple by Joe Jackson

Yeah but Nissa gets dropped when he plays crap, Maybury doesn't. His punishment is playing at left back, queer old world.

If playing at left back is a punishment lets get Alan Sheehan to water bomb Craig Levein! :D

'Deadweight' by Beck could describe De Vries, Hammill, Kisnorbo etc.

Momo Sylla always makes me think of Travis' 'Driftwood' ("Just driftwood, hollow and of no use").

The Super Furry Animals' record 'The Man Don't Give A fock' seems to sum up Tim Davies' complacent attitude.

'Why Do You Love Me?' by Garbage is a question the club could ask of the loyal fans who continue to support the team.

And what song is more appropriate for "journalist" Bill Anderson and all the other sycophants at the Mercury than Radiohead's 'Creep'?

Posted

Morris - Freebird, "If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me..?"

LCFC as a whole - Posies: I May Hate You Sometimes [but I'll Always Love You]

'Lucky' by Radiohead (or Britney Spears) describes Patrick Kisnorbo having a career in professional football.

'We Used To Be Friends' by the Dandy Warhols is another one for the relationship between Levein and Maybury.

'Special/Blown It (Delete As Appropriate)' by Mansun for Craig Levein.

Also, after the manager stated that he was thick-skinned and that fan pressure did not get to him, it made me think of the chorus from Filter's 'Welcome To The Fold', which goes "You’re celebrating nothing/ And you feel a-okay"

"Ever Fallen In Love With Someone (You Shouldn't've Fallen In Love With)?" Buzzcocks......ie supporting City

"God Save Le..vein"...Sex Pistols

I've gone for quantity over quality here. Some of these don't really work...

Money To Burn (Richard Ashcroft) - The board must have judging by the case of Peter Gilbert.

Loser (Beck) - Craig Levein, for obvious reasons.

Changes (David Bowie) - Craig Levein's insistence on heavy squad rotation.

Under Pressure (David Bowie and Queen) - Craig Levein, again for obvious reasons.

Career Opportunites (The Clash) - Levein will have to start looking for a new job if we don't start winning.

Trouble (Coldplay) - The entire club is in trouble!

Absolute Beginners (The Jam) - Joe Hammill and Patrick Kisnorbo.

Oh My God (Kaiser Cheifs) - Levein's still in a job? I can't believe it.

We Might As Well Be Strangers (Keane) - Because the manager never fields a settled side.

From Despair To Where? (Manic Street Preachers) - To League One by the looks of it.

Negative (Mansun) - Craig Levein's recent tactics.

Sit Down Stand Up (Radiohead) - For the stewards at the Walker's Stadium.

Knives Out (Radiohead) - They're already out for Levein. Unless you believe the Mercury.

Optimistic (Radiohead) - Tim Davies inexplicable attitude.

Let Down (Radiohead) - We've all been let down this season by Levein's mismangement.

No Surprises (Radiohead) - Leicester have lost away from home again!

Behold! The Nightmare (Smashing Pumpkins) - That watching City has become.

Hard To Explain (The Strokes) - Hard to explain why we haven't sacked the manager, or perhaps it's a song about Levein's numerous excuses.

Lazy (Suede) - Gareth Williams!
