who's been a naughty boy/girl then?

i thought we were better than that, it was only F.A Cup 4th round, no need to smack the bitch up.

T H U GS : COACHES UNDER ATTACK AFTER DEFEAT

Hooligans target away fans’ buses Police are hunting a gang

of Leicester City fans who pelted away supporters’

coaches with stones. Up to 20 hooligans attacked buses –

some carrying children as young as five – after City’s 1-0 defeat to

Southampton at the Walkers Stadium in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Police today confirmed the thugs broke one coach window with a concrete

slab while others boarded buses, where they threatened fans.

City thugs are also accused of spitting at a coach driver.

A police risk assessment had concluded there was little prospect of violence between fans and therefore no police escort was thought necessary for the travelling fans’ coaches. Police today confirmed the troublemakers were Leicester City fans and CCTV images were being studied. Nobody was injured in the attacks. Witnesses have been interviewed but no arrests have been made, a

force spokeswoman confirmed. She said: “The incident took place

after the match and involved a group of about 20 Leicester supporters.

“A group attacked the buses and a couple tried to board them, while a

concrete slab was thrown.” Chief Supt Nick Gargan, match

commander at the game, said: “This was an isolated incident and it’s

very sad these people have ruined an otherwise good-natured match.

“True to form, it was a small number of people causing trouble. We

take hooliganism very seriously and will do everything in our power to

stamp it out.” Southampton fans posted messages

on websites over the weekend. One, signed only as Benj, wrote:

“Seeing as there were children as young as five on our coach, I thought

their behaviour was despicable.” Jen wrote: “I was on the coach that

had bricks thrown at it. They threw a massive piece of concrete at the

window and it smashed only the first pane of glass.

“A couple of them did get on board and tried to start a fight with us.

They kept opening the doors and they kept spitting at the driver.”

City fan Mark Rogers, 25, from the West End, said: “I didn’t see the incident but it’s given us a bad name when we’re one of the best sets of

fans in the league. “The people who did this aren’t football fans and if they are caught they should be banned from the ground for life.”

A Leicester City spokesman said: “The club has been made aware of

an incident which took place away from the ground and, in tandem

with the police, are investigating it.” The club has consistently affirmed

its support for moves to identify and exclude troublemakers.

The "hunting" would not have been required had there been just one police officer stood at the coaches.

Stable door/ horse bolted come to mind.

good point.

why do people have to go so far though. surely a few energetic willy puller actions and V signs teamed with shouting abuse would have saficed.

Absolutly, They may not have required an escort, but to be left to fend for themselves is an absolute disgrace.

But when the football fans are committing crimes, surely they have to act?

If it was the other way around, people on here would be baying for blood, let alone an arrest!

they wont catch anyone because the police are crap and its not a priority.. however sureley putting 200 police outside every one of our games is ridiculously over the top.....i just dont understand leicestershire constabulary

where abouts were the coaches when they were attacked by the way?

they go from one extreme to the other there is either a ground full of police or there are none! i always thought having just a few was better, even if the game is a low risk one, it just shows that none of them are and some people are just born bloody idiots!!

how many police were at the game outside the ground and in the town for the cardiff match? im guesssing 400 including the bitches on stand by.. sureley some of these could be doing better things.?

oh im bored now :devil::yawn::yawn:

PS: during the game we looked out the back from L1 and there must have been 100 police outside drinking coffee and chatting during the game,,,, ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

That's right it's all the police's fault some idiots decided to throw concrete at a coach

All these mindless idiots will have achieved is:

a) The clubs policing bill will go up, as this defeats the clubs arguement that we don't need police at certain games (oh yes you do the SAG & the police, boosting their budget will reply quoting this incident)

b) All LCFC fans at away games will start get shoved around like sheep, as we will be labelled with the trouble making fans catagory.

If anybody knows who they were on here, then shop 'em

Agreed.

“A couple of them did get on board and tried to start a fight with us.

Pity they didn't manage to keep them on the bus until they got to Southampton.....

:D I think the coaches must have been speeding along the Aylestone Road and some nice Leicester fan must have tried to slow them down because of the speed camera, and the only way he/she could attract their attention was by trowing something at them. But because we now live in a police state, The Police are looking for someone to congratulate and maybe give an award to in recognition of this good deed.:devil:

these people will definitely get caught if they are STH and stupidly decide its ok to go to a game now this season. a woman i work withs husband is chief steward and he saw a fight in the city end between to fans in our prem relegation season at the Walkers, the offending fan ran out the stadium and wasnt caught, untill he thought it'd be safe and forgotten about at the next home game he was identified by CCTV and ejected from the stadium and banned for 5 years. these thugs do get caught.
