Head Honcho Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 Starts this week! Anyone else love this show? Can't wait for it already... YOU'RE FIRED! I like the American version better then the UK one but I'll be watching it.
Milky Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 I like the American version better then the UK one but I'll be watching it. i watched all of the first one and also all of the american one. they were both excellent viewing. i must say that i was very disappointed with the ability of the women in both of the series, they are giving businesswomen a bad name. perhaps they will be better this time, i'd advise people to watch it cus it's an interesting show.
Bert Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 I want to watch this, but i will get annoyed 'cos i think Alan Sugar is a first class C*** So im torn between watching it and getting annoyed or missing out on something good.
Katy Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 I want to watch this, but i will get annoyed 'cos i think Alan Sugar is a first class C*** So im torn between watching it and getting annoyed or missing out on something good. Why dont you watch and assess whether AS annoys you and weigh up whether you can overcome the annoyance factor or not
Bert Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 Why dont you watch and assess whether AS annoys you and weigh up whether you can overcome the annoyance factor or not Good point, i shall try but if i have to buy a new tele then i blame you!
Katy Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 Good point, i shall try but if i have to buy a new tele then i blame you! Yeah, I can live with that

My thoughts exactly! I'll be tuning in though as I missed the first series and was told it was good.
davieG Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 I used to have a fairly low opinion of Suger, but after seeing him on the Apprentice I've rather warmed to him. He's view on business is very good being able to see things both from the customer perspective and the business/profit making end, that to me is a rare gift. What I like about him most is that WYSIWYG, as he says he doesn't like bullshiiters or arse lickers and therefore he isn't one. Can come across as a bit of hard bastard and a mean know it all, well perhaps he does and at least he seems honest. I now have degree of respect for him that I never had before, I also much prefer the British version, the American one seems to have more fakers, bullshitters and arse lickers on it.
Cat Burger Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 "hey waterbwoi!!!! You're fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired"
Anish Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 I absolutely loved the first series, it was awesome Will be recording the new series on DVD this time around - the b*stards at the BBC didn't release the 1st series on DVD
Jay Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 loved the last series thought it was great tv!!! liked it more than the American one it was a bit to errrr American if you know what I mean, and I couldn't look at Donald Trumps hair without falling about laughing!!!
Tommy Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 I loved the British version, and was glad at the end that Tim had won it, as long as it wasn't old loud mouth Saira (sp?), but I think I read somewhere that said she'd been offered a job by Sir Alan Sugar anyway. I watched the American version, albeit for only about 3/4 episodes as Donald Trump grated right on my nerves and some of the contestants were not much better themselves. Looking forward to this series though, should be as good as the last one at least, but I'll wait till I see the contestants to reserve full judgement. YOU'RE FIRED!!!!!

Knighton Matt Posted 22 February 2006 Author Posted 22 February 2006 Only half an hour to go! I love Sugar's comments on the trailers... "You've lost the plot mate, you've gone from anchor to w***er!"
syston_fox Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Anyone else want to slap that frizzy haired woman??? And that bloke who was obsessed with the A-Team. It seems like they're actually quite a similar lot to last year, personality wise.

It seems like they're actually quite a similar lot to last year, personality wise. are they the best this country can offer? all mouth and no trousers the lot of them by the looks of it, i wasn't impressed by any of them, just alot of ass licking and big ego's.
syston_fox Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Was it the big guy with the crazy glasses that used to play for Millwall?
Anish Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Damn - I recorded it on DVD but I changed the record settings to 'high quality' and it only recorded 51 minutes before the disc was full

It seems like they're actually quite a similar lot to last year, personality wise. Never in my life have I wanted to literally beat the **** out of someone who i've seen on t.v. more than that frizzy haired woman. I don't agree with violence towards women, but i'd happily stick one on her. Cannot explain how much she irritated me. As for the chap with the crazy glasses, I thought it was Kojak from that detective series!!! Have another look and see if you agree.
davieG Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 This the one you mean? I think this must be Morris 1234's lecturer The rest are here:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/candidates/jo.shtml
