Katy Posted 7 April 2006 Posted 7 April 2006 Paul is good, but I can't help thinking he's a fat man's James Beattie. Hes good with the laaaydeeezzz, hes not been called into the boardroom much so it will be interesting to see how he copes if he ever fails a task
Ric Flair Posted 7 April 2006 Posted 7 April 2006  Hes good with the laaaydeeezzz, hes not been called into the boardroom much so it will be interesting to see how he copes if he ever fails a task He's a very quick thinker though and although he loves himself he doesn't come across as a twat liek Sayeed so I don't think he'll irritate Sugar at all. Obviously if he makes a massive mistake then Sugar will tear in to him, but I don't think that will happen as he's very good at what he does. I can't wait to see Sayeed back in the boardroom, Sugar hates him and it's so funny to hear Sayeed grovelling. 'Thankyou for this chance' The funniest quote from Sayeed in this weeks episode was when he said it was an absolute pleasure to sell some clothes to some women, she just looked at him really strangely.

Another amusing thing Sayed did on Wednesday was when he asked a girl what size she was - she said 10 and he said 'ive got a 12 here' baaaaaaaaad move Sayed baaaaad move, the look she gave him would have killed him instantly if he had made eye contact with her.

Swedging Posted 7 April 2006 Posted 7 April 2006 On Jonathon Ross last week, Alan Sugar was going on about how much he likes Sayeed..... Sugar likes pushy aggressive sales people. They remind him of himself, I guess.
Collymore Posted 7 April 2006 Posted 7 April 2006 Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but when they are doing the clips for next weeks episode, they always show SAS pointing and going YOU'RE FIRED. The only problem is, you can see if he's pointing right, left or middle. So I knew that guy was sacked this week as soon as he sat in his chair. Next week, the person that gets sacked is sitting in the middle of everyone, so that is normally the person who is the project manager. So who ever is the PM next week (I think one person still has to do it?) will be fired. Sorry to spoil it for you all, but life's a bitch

So who ever is the PM next week (I think one person still has to do it?) will be fired. Sorry to spoil it for you all, but life's a bitch I thought that but its not the case. It all depends on the camera angle behind the PM. Last week it looked like the middle one but turned out to be the one on the right (or SAS left)

Last week it looked like the middle one but turned out to be the one on the right (or SAS left) As in the guy that got sacked this week? SAS pointed to the left the week before and the guy on the left was sacked, so it's pretty obvious to me. We'll see, I reckon the other PM to Sayed will get sacked then.
Anish Posted 7 April 2006 Posted 7 April 2006 Bitch! Sayed hasnt been it yet, but will he be on the losing side Syed has been PM before - in the task where they had to buy the items on the shopping list for the cheapest they could get them (he also won that task btw).
stez Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 Syed has been PM before - in the task where they had to buy the items on the shopping list for the cheapest they could get them (he also won that task btw). i'd completely forgotten that one! (sayed PMing not the task) maybe because he did well! he seems to have a habit of undermining his project manager. (alexis(?) deserved it though!)

Anish Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 Although I think Paul has done quite a good job in most of the tasks (probably the most impressive performer of the lot), I detest his arrogance and the fact that he "knows" he's the best at everything. "Lots of people have told me I should be a car salesman" is just one example of him 'bigging himself up'. If he just went about things in a professional manner without being so arrogant he'd be much more likeable.
davieG Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 I don't really feel there's a likable character amongst them, not one i'd trust to do business with. Of course they could be just putting on an act for the tele. I think the producers have shot themselves in the foot, they seem to have gone for 'effect' with 'dodgy' characters and have left themselves with no one of any substance business wise. I'm bet AS doesn't fancy any of them working for him.
Milky Posted 26 April 2006 Posted 26 April 2006 Syed bites the dust!! he was great entertainment, shame he couldn't stay till the end
Knighton Matt Posted 26 April 2006 Author Posted 26 April 2006 Had to go tonight! Lost a lot of respect for Ruth tonight as well. Thought Paul has been the best throughout (despite his arrogance) but I think he will come seriously unstuck in the interviews next week.
Benji Posted 26 April 2006 Posted 26 April 2006 If i'm honest i wanted Syed to go. The main reason is this.. Understood he is big enough to accept he is vulnerable to make mistakes and some people may not have allowed themselves to admit this especially in a 'job interview' as such. But every week it seems he makes a huge blunder which he says in the interview 'that he has learnt from'. Sorry, but the reason you get a 6 figure salary is because you don't make mistakes, with a big salary comes big pressure and an expectance not to make any mistakes, I couldn't imagine him being given the roll personally... Still he was good entertainment as said by a few of you, and was honest about himself throughout even if he did blag a lot.

Benji Posted 26 April 2006 Posted 26 April 2006 ...but would you buy a used car off him? guaranteed profit after 3 years  Classic hahaha!! the guy would irritate me and probably force me to buy something just to shut him up.... so i suppose he's effective
Anish Posted 26 April 2006 Posted 26 April 2006 I was disappointed that he got fired, though it was bound to happen sooner or later. I have a massive dislike of Paul (arrogant git) and Ruth (doesn't let anybody have a word - shut the f**k up woman!) - and Michelle just isn't good enough. Ansall has been quietly effective but hasn't really shone, but he's irritated me the least so I'll probably root for him.
City Fan Posted 26 April 2006 Posted 26 April 2006 I wanted Syed to stay but its obvious SAS would never hire a bullshitter like him so it was obvious he was going to go. Although, he is hilarious and makes great TV!

Thought Paul has been the best throughout (despite his arrogance) but I think he will come seriously unstuck in the interviews next week. Me too. I was very disapointed with her tbh. I didn't like her at first, especially when she kept arguing with Jo, but she won me round with some solid sales performances (5 houses!!! ). So I was very disapointed to see her lose it so much in the boardroom last night, I think she's lost her chance now and its realy between Ansell and Paul. Paul's going to get it I reckon.
